Üniversite Bölüm Başkanları ve Araştırma Görevlilerinin Değer Tercihlerinin Karşılaştırması (SDÜ ve MAKÜ Örneği)

Abstract

Araştırmada, bölüm başkanları ve araştırma görevlilerinin bireysel değerlere ilişkin algılarını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında, "Değerler, Suç Anlayışı ve Ahlaki Hüküm Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, SDÜ ve MAKÜ'de görev yapan 97 bölüm başkanı ile 183 araştırma görevlisinden oluşmaktadır. Katılımcıların değer tercih algıları T-Testi ve Mann Whitney U-Testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, bireysel değerlerin bölüm başkanlarında ahlaki, estetik, ekonomik, dini, bilimsel, sosyal ve siyasi, araştırma görevlilerinde ise siyasi, sosyal, bilimsel, dini, ekonomik, estetik ve ahlaki şeklinde sıralandığı anlaşılmıştır. Görev türüne göre, ahlaki değere ilişkin algılar arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyette göre bölüm başkanlarının estetik, araştırma görevlilerinin siyasi ve estetik değer algılarının farklılaştığı ve bayan bölüm başkanları ile bayan araştırma görevlilerinin söz konusu değerleri daha üst düzeyde benimsedikleri anlaşılmıştır. Bölüm başkanlarının ve araştırma görevlilerinin bireysel değer algıları, görev yapılan üniversiteye ve yaşlarına göre farklılaşmamaktadır.

In this study, it was aimed to determine department heads' and research assistants' perceptions about individual values. Within the scope of this object, data were obtained through "Values, Sense of Crime, and Moral Judgment Scale". The study was designed according to descriptive survey model. The study group composed of 97 heads of department with 183 research assistants in Süleyman Demirel University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The participants' preferred value perceptions was analyzed through Independent Sample t-test and Mann Whitney U-test. In the result of research was understood that heads of department's individual values were specified as moral, aesthetics, economic, religious, scientific, social and political values, as for that research assistants' individual values were specified as political, social, scientific, religious, economic, aesthetics, and moral values. It was found that the moral value perceptions showed significant difference according to the position. According to gender, it was found that heads of department's aesthetics values perceptions and political and aesthetics values perceptions of research assistants differed significantly. Moreover, it was understood that the woman heads of department with the woman research assistants internalized these values at a higher level that heads of departmentand research assistants' individual values perceptions showed no significant difference according to age and university.
