KÜLTÜRÜN AKTARIMI: TÜRKÇE VE FRANSIZCADA ÖLÜMLE İLGİLİ ÖRTMECE SÖZLERİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

ÖZ Dillerdeki değişimi gösteren örneklerden biri olan örtmeceler, kültürel özellikleri farklı toplum- lardaki dil kullanımında karşılaşılan farklılıkları ortaya çıkarır. Örtmeceler toplumları, ahlak, saygı, edep, korku, üzüntü, nezaket vb. açısından yansıtan dilsel göstergelerdir. Örtmece, insanların duydu- ğu korku ve kaygılar nedeniyle söz düzeyinde alıcıları uğruna yaptıkları bir değişikliktir. Bu durum- da gerçekte alıcının baskısıyla ve alıcının kendisi için örtük anlatıma başvurulur. O hâlde sözcükleri yumuşatma amacı güden bir yöntemdir. Örtmece kısaca, konuşan kişi tarafından alıcısı için şaşırtıcı, çirkin ve rahatsız edici olarak değerlendirilebilecek bir sözcük yerine, kabul edilebilir bir sözcük kul- lanılmasıdır. Dolayısıyla bir dilin sosyokültürel ve tarihsel değerlerinin tamamına bağlıdır. Bundan dolayı kültürün tam merkezinde yer alır. Örtmece alanı oldukça geniştir, ancak en önemli alanların- dan birini ölüm oluşturduğu için biz de bu çalışmada ölümü anlatmak için Fransızca ve Türkçede baş- vurulan örtmece sözleri karşılaştırmalı olarak inceleyeceğiz. İki dilin aynı olguyu söyleme dökmedeki farklılık ve benzerlikleri kültürel açıdan ortaya koymaya çalışacağız. Karşılaştırmaya ve betimlemeye dayalı bir inceleme yöntemi kullanılacak olan bu araştırmada, ölümle ilgili örtmece sözleri yapı, işlev, anlam ve bağlam açısından incelenerek kaynak dil ile erek dil arasındaki anlatım biçimleri, sözdizim- sel, biçimbilimsel ve anlambilimsel açıdan ayrıntılı olarak ortaya konulacaktır. Bu araştırmada, iki dilin aynı olguya kültürel açıdan nasıl baktığını ve söyleme aktardığı ortaya konulacaktır. Bu araştır- mayı gerçekleştirmek için bütünce olarak TDK Atasözleri ve Deyimler Sözlüğü ve Ömer Asım Aksoy’un (1991) Atasözü ve Deyimler Sözlüğü seçilmiştir. Fransızca için de Le Petit Robert (2008) ve çevrimiçi sözlük olan Lexilogos seçilmiştir. Tarama sonucunda bu kaynaklarda yer alan, örtmece ile ilgisini kur- duğumuz söz varlığı ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler

ABSTRACT Euphemistic words which are one of the examples that show the change in languages reveal the differences seen in language use of culturally different societies. Euphemistic words are linguistic signs that reflect the features of societies in terms of ethics, respect, confidentiality, fear, sorrow, grace etc. The Euphemism is a change at speech level made by the humans because of their fears and anxieties for the sake of their receivers. In reality implicit meaning is used as a consequence of the receiver impact and receiver’s himself/herself. Thus, it is a method aiming at moderating the words. Briefly the euphe- mism is using an acceptable word instead of a word that may be regarded as offensive and annoying by the receiver. Hence, it depends on the whole socio-cultural and historical value of a language. The- refore, the Euphemism is in the center of the culture. As the death issue is one of the important fields in which the euphemism is used, we will analyze the euphemistic words of French and Turkish used within the context of death issue with a comparative method. We will try to put forward the differences and similarities between these two languages in explaining the same issue. Expression styles between the source and target language will be analyzed in terms of syntactical, morphological and semantical aspects. This study will present how these two languages see and express the same issue in terms of culture. For this study “TDK Atasözleri ve Deyimler Sözlüğü” (Dictionary of Proverbs and Idioms pre- pared by Turkish Language Association (TDK) and “Atasözü ve Deyimler Sözlüğü” (1991) (Dictionary of Proverbs and Idioms) prepared by Ömer Asım Aksoy were selected as a corpus in Turkish. Le Petit Ro- bert (2008) and online dictionary Lexilogos were selected as a corpus in French. Following the analysis of these resources, the euphemistic words in these resources were profoundly examined.
