Video konferansla pediatrik ekg eğitimi alan tıp eğitimcilerinin memnuniyetleri ile bu teknolojiyi benimseme düzeyleri

Abstract

İnternet teknolojileri, bireylerin sosyal etkileşimle öğrenmelerine imkân sağlayan sohbet odaları ve video konferans gibi bilgi paylaşım ve aktarım ortamlarının altyapısını sağlamaktadır. Video konferans sistemi ile bireyler bulundukları ortamdan ayrılmadan eş zamanlı olarak, düşük maliyetle, etkileşimli eğitim alabilmektedirler. Tıp eğitimi değişim ve yenilenmenin hızlı olduğu alanlardan biridir. Hem hastalara hizmet vermek, hem araştırma yapmak, hem de bir yandan eğitim almak ya da vermek zorunda kalan hekimler bunların tümüne zaman ayırmak ve de yoğunlaşmak konusunda sıkıntı yaşamaktadırlar. Video konferans, hem sürekli tıp eğitimi hem de örgün tıp eğitimini desteklemek adına uygulanabilecek en uygun teknolojik çözümlerden biridir. Bu çalışmada video konferans ile tıp eğitimi ve özellikle de pediatrik kardiyoloji eğitimine odaklanılmıştır. Araştırmacı video konferansla pediatrik elektro kardiyografi (EKG) eğitimi almış tıp eğitimcilerinin bu eğitsel teknolojiden ne kadar memnun kaldıkları ve kendi verdikleri eğitimlerde kullanmak üzere bu teknolojiyi ne kadar benimsedikleri ve avantajları hakkında düşüncelerini araştırmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına bakıldığında tıp eğitimcilerinin video konferans sistemiyle verilen eğitimden memnun kaldıkları, bu teknolojinin eğitim ve öğretim amaçlı olarak kullanılmasına karşı güven duymakta oldukları ve bu yöntemin yaygınlaşmasını istedikleri görülmektedir. Eğitim amaçlı kullanılan bu teknoloji tıp eğitimcileri tarafından kabul görmüş ve onları memnun etmiştir. Video konferans sisteminin sağladığı en önemli avantaj olarak ise yer esnekliğinin getirdiği rahatlık ile zaman tasarrufu ifade edilmiştir. Satisfaction and Technology Acceptance Levels of Medical Instructors Taking Pediatric Electrocardiography Course through Videoconferencing Internet Technologies provide the infrastructure for knowledge sharing and transferring platforms such as chat rooms and videoconferencing which enable individuals to learn through social interaction. Individuals are able to be educated efficiently, interactively, cost effectively and synchronously without leaving their locations through videoconferencing method. Medical education is one of those fields which involve changes and updates. Doctors are supposed to see patients, do research studies, educate others, take lessons and do all of these activities at the same time often struggle with time allocation and concentration problems. Videoconferencing is one of those appropriate technological solutions to be used not only for continuous medical education but also as a support for formal education. This study focuses on medical education especially the pediatric cardiology education through videoconferencing. The researcher investigates the perceptions of medical instructors regarding how much they have satisfied from this educational technology, how much they have adopted it and its advantages. Findings of the study indicate that medical instructors have been satisfied with the instruction given through videoconferencing and rely upon this technology for the purpose of education and hope this method would spread out. The most important advantage of videoconferencing method has been indicated as the comfort of place flexibility and time saving.
