12 Eylül sürecinde üniversite gençliği

Abstract

Bu çalışma, 12 Eylül 1980'deki askeri müdahaleden önce üniversiteye başlamış, sonrasında mezun olmuş veya olamamış kişilerle yapılan sözlü tarih görüşmeleri sonucunda oluştu. Bu kişiler farklı fikir yapılarına sahip olan on iki kadın ve on iki erkekten oluşuyor. Dönemin tanıkları olan, olayları birebir yaşayan bu kişilerden hareketle hem o günleri anlamaya hem de kişiler üzerindeki etkilerini görmeye çalıştık. Gençler masum düşüncelerle, bir amaç uğruna hareket ederler. Ancak bir süre sonra farklı bir mecraya sürüklenirler. Bu yaşananların ne tam olarak farkındadırlar, ne de önüne geçebilirler. Bir bilinmezlik içinde yaşamlarını sürdürmeye ve fikirlerini gerçekleştirmeye çalışırlar. Ne var ki gün geçtikçe can kayıpları daha da artar ve olayların önüne geçilemez. Yaşananlar neticesinde 12 Eylül 1980'de askeri müdahale gerçekleşir. İnsanların bir kısmı bu olayı sevinçle karşılarken, bazıları bunun iyi bir gelişme olmadığı düşünür. Nitekim müdahaleden sonra yaşanan birçok gelişme de bunun hiç de olumlu bir adım olmadığını ortaya koyar. Pek çok gencin yaşamı müdahale dolayısıyla olumsuz şekilde etkilenir. Çok sayıda gencin hayata atılmasını geciktirir, birçoğunun hayallerinden vazgeçmelerine veya ertelemelerine sebep olur. Hem psikolojik olarak hem de fiziki olarak gençler yılgınlığa itilir. Bazıları zamanla bu etkilerden kurtulurken, bir kısım insanda kalıcı etkilere sebep olur. Bugünün gençliği ise onlar için bir bilinmezlik arz etmektedir. This study has been formed with the interviews done with the people who started university before the military intervention on 12 September 1980 and graduated or couldn't graduate afterwards. These people consist of twelve female and twelve male participants who have different political thought. We have tried to understand those days through these witnesses of the period and we have tried to understand the impacts of that period on these people. Youngs of the period acted for their aims with innocent thoughts. But after a short period everything started to canalize on a different course. They were not aware of this development and they could not prevent this. They continued their lives and tried to realize their ideas. However, by day by number of deads started to increase and these deads could not be prevent. As a result of these developments, on 12 September 1980, the military intervention took place. Some approved the intervention but some opposed. Developments after the intervention justified the opponents. Many young people were affected negatively. Many of them had to postphone their dreams and projects or had to put an end them. Both psychologically and physically, youngs were abandoned despair. Some of them managed to get over the negative effects of the intervention, but some could not. They have uncertain ideas about todays youth Key Words: 12 September intervention, youth, university.
