Polonya milliyetçiliği (Piast Hanedanlığı'ndan cumhuriyete)

Abstract

1789 Fransız devrimi sonrası ulus-devletlerin inşasıyla ortaya çıkan milliyetçilik, yaşamın her alanına yayılmaktadır. Milliyetçilik uluslararası politika ve genel anlamda siyaset bilimi açısından önemini hiç yitirmemiş bir konudur. Polonya, tarihindeki bölünmeler ve birleşmeler sonunda ortaya çıkan bir devlet olması bakımından milliyetçilik bağlamında incelenmesi gereken bir ülkedir. Buna karşın, milliyetçiliği Polonya bağlamında ele alan çalışmaların sayıca azlığı dikkat çekicidir. Oysa Polonya milliyetçiliğin ortaya çıkma şekli dikkate alındığında milliyetçiliğin daha iyi anlaşılacağı düşünülmektedir. Tarihte birçok kez parçalanan, buna rağmen zaman içerisinde tekrar birleşen Polonya'da özellikle Fransız ihtilalinden sonra milliyetçi duyguların çok ön plana çıktığı söylenebilir. II. Dünya Savaşı sonrası yaşanan komünizm dönemindeki dini ve siyasi çatışmaların Polonya milliyetçiliğine etkisi yoğun olmuştur. Bu açıdan, özellikle Polonyalı Papa II. John Paul'ün dini söylevleri ile Polonya siyasetine yön vermesi, milliyetçiliği de etkilemiştir. Polonya'da 1989 yılında komünist rejimin yıkılmasının ve 2004 yılında Avrupa Birliği'ne üye olmasının ardından milliyetçilik duygularının farklı açılardan tartışıldığı da görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle milliyetçilik ile ilgili kavram ve kuramlar araştırıp sorgulanmıştır. İkinci bölümde Polonya'nın siyasi tarihi ve coğrafyası incelenmiş, son bölümde ise gerek ilk bölümdeki kavram ve kuramlar açısından gerekse Polonya'nın siyasi ve coğrafi konumu açısından Polonya milliyetçiliği değerlendirilmiştir. Nationalism which was born out of the construction of the nation-states in the aftermath of the French Revolution in 1789 has spread into all the domains of our life. Nationalism is an issue that has never lost its importance both from the aspect of International Politics and Political Science in general. Poland is a country that has to be examined in the context of nationalism in terms of being a state emerging at the end of the divisions and unions of its history. On the contrary, it is remarkable that the number of studies dealing with nationalism in the Polish context is insufficient. However, when it comes to the emergence of Polish nationalism, nationalism is considered to be better understood. It can be said that the nationalist emotions came to the forefront of the Polish revolution, especially after the French Revolution, which had broken down many times in history, yet it reunited over time. Religious and political debates during the post-World War II period of communism have had an impact on Polish nationalism. In terms of the Polish Pope II. John Paul's directing of Polish politics through religious speeches has also affected nationalism. It is also seen that nationalist emotions have been debated at different ways after the collapse of the communist regime in Poland in 1989 and the European Union membership in 2004. In this study, concepts and theories related to nationalism were searched and questioned at first. In the second part, the political history and geography of Poland were examined. And the last part, in terms of concepts and theories in the first part and political and geographical position of Poland in the second part, the Polish nationalism was evaluated.
