Modern ve postmodern feminist akımlar

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kadın sorununun modern ve postmodern feminist akımlar tarafından nasıl ele alındığı konusu incelenmektedir. Önce Batı düşüncesinde önemli bir dönüm noktasını gösteren modern ve postmodern ayırımı çerçevesinde iki farklı düşünce tarzı olarak modernizm ve postmodernizm ana hatlarıyla incelenmektedir. Ardından bu iki farklı genel düşünsel çerçeve içinde kadın sorununa ilişkin feminist yaklaşımlar ele alınmaktadır. İçerikleri birbirinden oldukça farklı da olsa, modern söylemin temel unsurunu oluşturan ve kadına kurtuluş vadeden bir büyük anlatıya sahip olmak anlamında liberal, Marksist, sosyalist ve radikal feminizmin ortak bir çatı altında toplanmaları mümkündür. Postmodernizmin modernizme yönelttiği eleştiri unsurlarını bu modernist feminist yaklaşımlar için de geçerli gören postmodern feminist yaklaşım ise, postmodernist olmanın doğal bir sonucu olarak heterojen, çoğulcu ve sınırları tam olarak çizilemeyen bir feminist söylem sunmaktadır.

This work aims to study the question that how women problem is handled by modern and postmodern feminist discourses. The basic assumption of this study is that the distinction between "the modern" and "the postmodern" in western thought is an important turning point in analyzing contemporary discourses. This work has two theoretical stages. In the first stage, basic characteristics of modernism and postmodernism is summarized. In the second stage, feminist perspectives or discourses are categorized as modern and postmodern in terms of their theoretical formulation. It is argued that, although liberal, Marxist, radical and socialist feminism have differentiated in respect of their contents, they share the common characteristics of the modern discourse. As postmodernism objects modernism, postmodern feminism criticizes and questions modern feminist discourses within the theoretical framework of the postmodern perspective. Therefore postmodern feminism, corollary of being postmodern, brings about a heterogeneous, plural and multidimensional feminist discourse.
