Abstract

ÖZETBAZI BORAT ESTERLERİNİN SENTEZİ VE KARAKTERİZASYONUALKIŞ, NazımKırıkkale ÜniversitesiFen Bilimleri EnstitüsüKimya Anabilim Dalı,Yüksek Lisans TeziDanışman : Yrd. Doç. Dr. Mustafa TombulEkim 2006, 80 sayfaBu tezde sunulan araştırma, esas olarak Grup 1 katyonu içeren yeniborat esterleri sentezinin incelenmesini içermektedir. Borat esterleri hakkında yürütülen deneysel çalışmalar iki alt bölüme ayrılabilir.Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, NaBH4'ün hidroksilli asit içeren çeşitlibileşiklerle susuz ortamdaki tepkimeleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen analitik vespektroskopik verilere göre, bu tepkimeler gerçekleşebilmektedir ve sodyumkatyonu borat yapı iskeletine destek olacak şekilde davranmaktadır.iÇalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, borik asidin dikarboksilik asitlerle bazikortamdaki tepkimeleri incelenmiştir. Prof. Dr. Mustafa TombulOctober 2006, 80 pagesThe research presented in this thesis, concerns mainly theinvestigation of the synthesis of novel borate esters containing Grup 1 cation.Experimental studies conducted on borate esters can be subdivided into twosections.In the first part of the study, the reactions of NaBH4 with compoundscontaining varios hydroxy carboxylic acids in anhydrous media wereinvestigated. On the basis of the analytical and spectroscopic data obtained,the reactions are accessible and sodium cation acts as a support to boratestructure framework.iiiIn the second part of the study, the reactions of boric acid withdicarboxylic acids in the presence of different bases were investigated. Therole of the metal cation used, pH and the reaction temperature were found tobe important factors on the metal borate structures obtained.The structures of the borate esters were characterised by means ofanalytical and spectroscopic methods including 1H and 13C-NMR, FT-IR,ESIâ??MS and X-ray crystallography.Key Words : Boron Chemistry, Borate erters, Metal Borates, SodiumBoron Compounds, Potassium Boron Compounds, X-Ray Diffractioniv
