6E öğrenme modeline dayalı FETEMM eğitiminin girişimcilik, tutum, meslek ilgisine etkisi ve öğrenci görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 6E öğrenme modeline dayalı FeTeMM eğitiminin öğrencilerin girişimcilik, tutum ve meslek ilgilerine etkisini incelemek ve uygulamalar hakkında öğrencin görüşlerini belirlemektedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Türkiye'de devlet okulunda okuyan 50 ortaokul 5.sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Uygulama hafta da dört ders saati üzerinden yedi hafta sürmüştür. Çalışmada nicel ve nitel verilerin bir arada kullanıldığı karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma tek grup üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın nicel boyutunda tek grup ön test – son test deneysel desen kullanılırken nitel boyutunda ise içerik analizi yaklaşımlarından kategori analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri "Fen Laboratuvarı Girişimcilik Ölçeği", "STEM Tutum Ölçeği" ve "Fen, Teknoloji, Matematik ve Mühendislik Mesleklerine Yönelik İlgi Ölçeği" ile toplanmıştır. Nitel boyutta ise 6E öğrenme modeline dayalı geliştirilen etkinlikler hakkında öğrencilerin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yarı yapılandırılmış "FeTeMM Görüş Formu" kullanılmıştır. Nicel toplanan verilerin analizi bağımlı t – testi ile nitel verilerin analizi ise kategori analizi ile yapılmıştır. Nicel verilerin analiz sonuçlarına göre 6E öğrenme modeline dayalı FeTeMM eğitiminin öğrencilerin girişimcilik becerilerinin, FeTeMM'e yönelik tutumlarının, FeTeMM alanlarındaki meslek ilgilerinin istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde arttığı görülmektedir. Öğrenci görüşleri de bu sonuçları destekler niteliktedir. Öğrenciler, 6E öğrenme modeline dayalı FeTeMM eğitiminin bilginin yapılandırılması ve beceri gelişiminde etkili olduğunu meslek ilgisi ve motivasyonlarının artırdığını belirtmişlerdir. Bu kapsamda 6E öğrenme modeli FeTeMM alanlarına ait meslek ve kariyer bilinci oluşturmak, girişimcilik, yaratıcılık, problem çözme, iş birliği gibi 21.yüzyıla ait becerileri geliştirmek için kullanılabilir.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of STEM education based on 6E learning model on students 'entrepreneurship, attitude and professional interests and determine the students' opinions about the activities. The research working group is composed of 50 junior high school students in the 5th grade public school in Turkey. The application lasted seven weeks as four lessons per week. In the study, a mixed research method was used in which quantitative and qualitative data were used together. The study was conducted on a single group. In this context, single group pre - test and post - test experimental design was used in the quantitative dimension of the research, while category analysis was made in the content analysis approaches in qualitative dimension. The quantitative data of the study were collected by "Science Laboratory Entrepreneurship Scale", "STEM Attitude Scale "and "Interest Scale for Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering Professions". In the qualitative dimension, a semi-structured "STEM Opinion Form " was used to determine the students' views on the activities developed based on the 6E learning model. Quantitative data were analyzed by dependent t - test and qualitative data were analyzed by category analysis. According to the results of the analysis of quantitative data, it is seen that the entrepreneurship skills, attitudes towards STEM and occupational interests of STEM are increased significantly in the education of STEM education based on 6E learning model. Student opinions also support these results. The students stated that STEM education based on 6E learning model was effective in structuring knowledge and skill development and increased their occupational interest and motivation. In this context, the 6E learning model can be used to develop occupational and career awareness in the fields of STEM, and to develop 21st century skills such as entrepreneurship, creativity, problem solving and cooperation
