OKS, SBS ve TEOG fen bilimleri testi sorularının bilimsel süreç becerileri ve eleştirel düşünme becerilerine göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada OKS, SBS ve TEOG içerisinde bulunan Fen Bilimleri testi sorularının bilimsel süreç ve eleştirel düşünme becerilerine göre incelenmesi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma nitel bir araştırma olup veriler doküman inceleme yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Veri kaynağı olarak, uygulanan her sınavdan üç yıl alınmış ve analizleri araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan belirtke tablosu doğrultusunda yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler nicel hale getirilerek frekans hesaplamaları yapılmış ve grafik üzerine aktarılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; analizi yapılan sınavlarda baz alınan 195 adet Fen Bilimleri testi sorusundan 123 adet sorunun temel bilimsel süreç becerilerinden 'gözlem' basamağını desteklemeye yönelik olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bunu takip eden basamağın ise 107 adet soru ile 'çıkarım yapma' becerisi olduğu görülmüştür. En az yer verilen basamağın ise 13 adet soru ile üst düzey düşünme becerilerinden 'hipotez kurma' basamağı olduğu görülmüştür. Eleştirel düşünme becerilerine bakıldığında ise analizi yapılan sınavlarda baz alınan 195 adet sorudan 'öz düzenleme' basamağına yönelik hazırlanmış hiçbir soruya rastlanmamıştır. En çok desteklenen eleştirel düşünme beceri basamağının 162 adet soru ile 'çıkarım yapma' basamağı olduğu görülmüştür. Bu beceriyi takip eden basamağın ise 100 adet soru ile 'analiz' becerisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. En az desteklenen beceri basamağının ise 14 adet soru ile 'değerlendirme' basamağı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen bulgulara göre yapılacak olan çalışmalara ve araştırmacılara yönelik; ağırlıklı olarak üst düzey bilimsel süreç becerilerini ve öz düzenleme beceri basamağını ölçen soruların hazırlanması ve nicel bulgularla desteklenebilecek çalışmaların yapılması yönünde önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Bu öneriler ışığında araştırmanın ileride bu alanda yapılacak olan çalışmalara katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

In this study, according to scientific process and critical thinking skills the analysing of the questions of science tests in OKS, SBS and TEOG was investigated. The research was a qualitative research and the data were collected by means of document review method. As a data source, three years were taken for each of the exams and their analysis was done in the direction of the statement table generated by the researcher. The obtained data were quantified and frequency calculations were made and transferred to the graph. According to the result of the inverstigation; it was found that from 195 science tests based on the examinations conducted, 123 basic scientific process skills are aimed at supporting the 'observation' phase. It was found that the next step was the ability to 'make inferences' with 107 questions. The least number of steps was found to be the step of 'hypothesis busilding' with 13 questions on high-level thinking skills. When looking at critical thinking skills, there were no questions prepared for the 'self-regulation' phase of the 195 questions based on the exams that were analyzed. It is seen that the most supported critical thinking skill level is the 'inference' step with 162 questions. The successor to this skill is the result of being able to 'analyze' with 100 questions. The least supported skill level came to be the 'evaluation' rank with 14 questions. According to the findings obtained at the end of the research to be made toward the studies and researches; proposals were made in order to prepare predominantly high-level scientific process skills and questions measuring self-regulation skill level and carry out studies that could be supported by quantitative findings. It is believed that the research of these proposals will contribute to future work in this field.
