Türk düşüncesinde aydın sorunsalı: Bir Erol Güngör çözümlemesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türk düşüncesinde aydın sorunsalını Erol Güngör üzerinden analiz etmektir. Türk düşüncesinde aydın sorunu Türk-Osmanlı modernleşmesinin her evresinde kendini hissettirmiş ve bu yüzden de birçok ismin ilgilenmek zorunda kaldığı bir alan olmuştur. Ancak genel itibariyle bakıldığı zaman aydın tartışmalarının sathî bir şekilde yapıldığı ve özellikle Türkiye'nin sosyal, siyasal realitelerinden kopuk bir biçimde bu tartışmaların yapıldığı görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda özellikle uluslararası aydın literatürünün irdelenmesi ve ilgili literatürle Türk aydınının şekilleniş tarzı arasındaki farklılık noktalarının tespit edilmesi önemli bir husus olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Öte yandan Türk düşüncesinde aydın sorununu siyasî, toplumsal ve tarihî dinamikleriyle ele alan isim çok azdır. Erol Güngör ise aydın sorununu fikirlerinin merkezine koyan bir isimdir. Ona göre Türkiye'nin siyasî, toplumsal ve kültürel birçok sorun alanında odaklanılması gereken esas alan aydın meselesidir. Türk-Osmanlı modernleşmesinde ortaya çıkan birçok sorun aydınların yanlış tercihlerinden, gerektiği gibi önderlik ve rehberlik edememesinden kaynaklanmıştır. Ancak bu sorunların çözümü de yine ancak aydınlar eliyle mümkün olabilecektir. Bu yüzden Türkiye'nin en önemli sorunu siyasî ve toplumsal sorumluluklarının farkında olmayan ve bundan dolayı da aydın vazifesini yerine getiremeyen aydınlara sahip oluşudur. Erol Güngör üzerinden Türk düşüncesindeki aydın sorununun dinamikleri çözümlenmiştir. Bu yapılırken Güngör üzerine birincil ve ikincil literatür etraflı bir şekilde taranmış, Güngör'le ilgili kişilerle görüşmeler yapılmış ve Erol Güngör'ün yazıları fikrî serencamını takip edebilmek amacıyla süreli yayınlar üzerinden incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonunda Erol Güngör gibi isimler üzerinden aydın merkezli tematik incelemelerin Türk düşüncesindeki aydın sorununu ve Türk aydınını anlama ve analiz etmede işlevsel olabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to analyse the intellectual problem in Turkish thought through Erol Güngör. The problem of intellectuals in Turkish thought has made itself felt in every phase of Turkish-Ottoman modernization, and therefore it has become an area that many intellectuals had to deal with. However, when looked at in general, it is seen that intellectual discussions are made superficially, and these discussions are carried out in a way that is disconnected from the social and political realities of Turkey. In this context, it is an important issue to examine the international intellectual literature and to determine the points of difference between the relevant literature and the shaping style of the Turkish intellectual. On the other hand, there are very few intellectuals who deal with the problem of intellectuals with their political, social and historical dynamics in Turkish thought. As an exception, Erol Güngör is an intellectual who puts the problem of intellectuals at the centre of his ideas. Many problems that emerged in the Turkish-Ottoman modernization stemmed from the wrong choices of the intellectuals and their inability to lead and guide as needed. However, the solution of these problems will only be possible with the leadership of intellectuals. Therefore, the most important problem of Turkey is that it has intellectuals who are not aware of their political and social responsibilities and therefore cannot fulfil their duties. In this study, the dynamics of the intellectual problem in Turkish thought were analysed through Erol Güngör. While doing this, the primary and secondary literature on Güngör was thoroughly scanned, interviews were held with people related to Güngör, and Erol Güngör's writings were examined through periodicals to follow his intellectual background. At the end of the study, it was concluded that intellectual-centred thematic studies through names such as Erol Güngör can be functional in understanding and analysing the problem of intellectuals in Turkish thought and Turkish intellectuals.
