Üstün Yeteneklilerde Yaratıcı Yazma Becerilerinin Geliştirilmesi Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışma yaratıcı yazma etkinliklerinin üstün yeteneklilerin yazma tutumu üzerindeki etkisini tespit etmek veyaratıcı yazma becerilerini geliştirmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiş bir araştırmadır. Çalışma hem nicel hem de nitelyöntemler içermesi nedeni ile karma yöntem araştırmasıdır. Nicel verilerin toplanmasında ön-test son-test kontrolgruplu deneysel desen, nitel verilerin toplanmasında uygulanan etkinlikler sonrasında deney grubunungörüşlerine başvurularak görüşme yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kırıkkale İlÖzel İdaresi Bilim ve Sanat Merkezine devam eden 20 altıncı sınıf üstün yetenekli öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmanın nicel verilerine yönelik analizde örneklem büyüklüğünün düşük olduğu deneysel araştırmalardasıklıkla kullanılan nonparametrik testlerden Mann Whitney U testi uygulanmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubuöğrencilerinin ön test, son test yazma tutum puanları ile deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son test yaratıcıyazma puanları SPSS 23.0 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Nitel araştırmaların analizinde ise içerikanalizi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel veri sonuçlarına göre deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin ön-test veson-test yaratıcı yazma tutumlarında anlamlı farklılaşma olmadığı görülmüştür. Çalışmaların deney grubuöğrencilerinin yaratıcı yazma etkinlik sürecinin sonunda yaratıcı yazma becerilerini geliştirdiği sonuçlarınaulaşılmıştır. Yaratıcı yazma etkinlikleri süreci sonrasında deney grubu öğrenci görüşlerine göre etkinliklerin; hayalgüçlerini geliştirdikleri, yazma becerisi kazandıkları, konu zengin olduğunda daha iyi yazabildiklerini fark ettikleriifade edilmiştir.

This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the impact of creating writing activities on the attitudes ofgifted individuals towards writing, and to improve their writing skills. The study is a mix-method study as itcomprises both qualitative and quantitative methods. To collect quantitative data, a pretest-posttest control groupexperimental design was employed, and to collect qualitative data, the interview method was used to gather theopinions of the experimental group after the activities. The study was conducted with 20 sixth-grade giftedstudents who attended Kırıkkale Provincial Special Administration Science and Art Center in the academic year of2015-2016. In the quantitative data analysis, the Mann Whitney U test, which is a non-parametric test frequentlyused in experimental studies with a low sample size, was applied. The pretest- posttest writing attitude scores andthe posttest creative writing scores of both the experimental and control group students were analyzed using theSPSS 23.0 package program. Content analysis was used in to analyze the qualitative research. As a result of thequantitative data results of the study, it was found that there was no significant difference between the pretest andposttest attitudes towards creative writing of the experimental and control group students. It was found that thecreative writing skills of the experimental group students improved at the end of the period of creative writingactivities. According to the opinions of the experimental group students at the end of the creative writing period,the activities improved their imagination, enhanced their writing skills, and they realized that they could writebetter when the topics were more diverse.
