Kırıkkale İl Merkezinde Bulunan Genel Lise Öğrencilerinin Profillerine İlişkin Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Kırıkkale il merkezinde bulunan genel liselerde öğrenim gören gençlerin profillerini belirlemektir. Bu amaca ulaşmak için öğrencilerin aile, eğitim, boş zamanları değerlendirme ve öğrenim görülen kurumdan beklentileri içeren bir ölçme aracı geliştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler SPSS programında analiz edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun orta sosyo-ekonomik düzeyde bulunan ailelerden geldikleri görülmüştür. Boş zamanlarını müzik dinleyerek ve TV izleyerek geçirme, eğitim kurumlarında daha çok spor alanı ve bilgisayar bulunmasını isteme, nitelikli yüksek öğretim kurumlarında eğitim alarak kendilerini geliştirmeyi isteme diğer bulgulardır. Ayrıca kız öğrenciler okullarında güzel sanatlara daha çok yer verilmesini, okul öncesi eğitim almış öğrenciler ise okullarda daha sıkı disiplin uygulamalarına gereklilik olduğunu belirtmiştir.

The purpose of this research is to examine the profiles of the young individuals attending general high schools in the town center of Kırıkkale. For this purpose, a measuring device including students‘ family status, education level, spending their leisure time and expectations from the education institute they attend was developed. Collected data was analyzed and interpreted by means of SPSS. The research revealed that most of the students come from families of medium socioeconomic level. The findings about their leisure time activities can be mentioned as listening to music and watching TV. As for the findings regarding expectations from schools, they generally wish to be provided with sports area and computer facilities, and to develop themselves by attending qualified higher education institutions. Besides; female students expressed that more emphasis must be attached to the fine arts while the participants who studied pre-school education stated that more rigid disciplinary practices must be used.
