İlköğretim okullarında görevli branş öğretmenlerinin değer öğretimi yaparken kullandıkları etkinlikler: 2004 ve 2007 yıllarına ilişkin bir karşılaştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin değer öğretimi yaparken kullandıkları yöntemleri yeni ve eski ilköğretim programlarına göre belirlemektir. Bu genel amaca ulaşmak için değer öğretimi etkinlikleri ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. Ölçek, çağdaş değer öğretimi etkinlikleri, geleneksel değer öğretimi, davranışa dönüştürme etkinlikleri ve örnek kişilerden hareketle değer öğretimi isimli dört faktörden oluşmaktadır. Geliştirilen ölçek Ankara ve Kırıkkale’de seçilen ilköğretim okullarında görevli öğretmenlere uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, çağdaş değer öğretimi etkinlikleri ve geleneksel değer öğretimi etkinliklerinin yeni ve eski ilköğretim programlarını kullanan öğretmenlerce benzer oranda kullandıkları görülmüştür. Değerlerin davranışa dönüştürülmesine yönelik etkinliklerin kullanımı yeni ilköğretim programlarını kullanan öğretmenlerde artmış, örnek kişilerden hareketle değer öğretimi etkinlikleri ise azalmıştır.

This study aimed at defining the methods used by teachers while teaching values according to the old and new primary school curriculums. To achieve this general aim, the scale which was named by the activities of the teaching values was developed by the researcher. It consisted of the four sub-factors which are; alternative method activities, traditional method activities, activities directed towards turning values into behaviors and activities by taking samples from the model persons. This scale was applied to selected teachers who are serving in the primary schools in Ankara and Kırıkkale. At the end of the study, it was revealed that teachers using old primary school curriculums carried out alternative methods and traditional methods which are used at the teaching values at a rate similar to that of teachers using new primary school curriculums. On the other hand, an increase was observed in the activities directed towards turning values into behaviors in the teachers who use new primary school curriculums while, a decrease was detected in the activities of the teaching values by taking samples from the model persons.
