Fizik Laboratuvarı Dersinde İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarılarını Geliştirme Etkisinin Araştırılması

Abstract

İşbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin öğrencilerin başarılarına etkisinin incelendiği bu araştırma için, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği 1. sınıfında öğrenim gören 210 öğrenciden 1 deney 1 kontrol grubu oluşturulmuştur. Öğretim etkinliklerinin gerçekleştirileceği ders olarak, Fizik II Laboratuarı Dersi seçilmiş ve uygulama “Elektrik” ünitesinin işleneceği haftaları kapsamıştır. Verilerin toplanması amacıyla, uygulama düzeyinde 25 sorudan oluşan bir akademik başarı testi geliştirilmiştir. Başarı testinin güvenirliği için, KR-20 güvenirlik analizi yapılmış, analiz sonucunda testin KR-20 güvenirlik katsayısı 0.73 olarak bulunmuştur. Deney ve Kontrol gruplarının başarı testleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olup olmadığını belirlemek için ilişkili ve ilişkisiz örneklemler için t-Testi analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin başarı ön test – son test puanları arasında anlamlı farklılığın olduğu görülmüştür. Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin başarı son test puanları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiş, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin son test puanlarının kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerin son test puanlarından yüksek olmasına rağmen bu farklılık istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olmamıştır. Bu sonuçlara göre, işbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin öğrencilerin fen konularındaki başarılarını arttırmaya yönelik etkileri için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this study, in which the effect of cooperative learning method on the students‘ achievement was studied, among 210 students attending the first class of Science Education Department, an experiment group and a control group were formed. The Physics II Laboratory Lesson was chosen as the lesson in which teaching activities would be realized and the application included the weeks for which the chapter “Electricity“ was studied. In order to collect data, a scale consisting of 25 questions at the application level was developed. For the reliability of the scale, KR-20 (Kuder Richardson-20) Reliablity Analysis was done, as a result of the analysis, 0,73 was found as KR-20 reliability coefficent of the test. To determine whether there is a significant correlation between achievement tests of the Experiment Group and of the Control Group or not, independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test analysis were used. As a result of the study, it was seen than there is a significant difference between the students‘ achievement pre-test scores and final-test scores. The correlation between the students‘ achievement final-test scores of the experiment group students and of the control group students was examined, although the final test scores of the experiment group students were higher than the final test scores of the control group students, the difference was not significant statistically. According to these results, recommendations were suggested about the effect of cooperative learning method on improving the students‘ achievement regarding science subjects.
