Türkiye'de sivil toplum ve tarikatlar 'Altınoluk' dergisi çerçevesinde Nakşibendi Tarikatı

Abstract

ÖZET Çalışmamızın temel amacı: 1980 sonrasının kilit kavaralarından biri haline gelen 'sivil toplum' kavramını, yine Türk toplumsal yapısının temel kurumlarından birisi olan Tarikatlar açısından değerlendirebilmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda tarihi ve coğrafi açıdan büyük önem taşıyan, tarikat geleneğinin 'ideal tip 'i konumunda olan Nakşibendi tarikatının günümüz Türkiyesinde klasik bir örneği niteliği taşıyan Erenköy dergahı ve onun yayın organı olan, ALTINOLUK dergisini çalışmamıza konu olarak seçtik. Tarikatlar ile sivil toplum kurumları arası ilişkiyi değerlendirirken göz önünde bulundurulması gereken önemli bir kavram, 'sosyal hareket' kavramıdır. Bu nedenle söz konusu ilişkiyi ele alırken sosyal hareket kavramından da yararlanılmış, tarikatlar İslami nitelikli sosyal hareket olarak alınmıştır. Altınoluk dergisi ile ilgili olarak yaptığımız çalışmada, Altınoluk dergisi çerçevesinde, Nakşibendi Tarikatı Erenköy dergahı'nın sivil toplum kavramı ile olan ilişkisi: Erenköy Dergahı'nın farklılaşma ve meşruluk açısında sivil özellikler taşımasına rağmen örgüt yapısının, Şeyh-Mürid ilişkisinin, Klasik anlamda sivil toplum kurumlarıyla benzeşmediği söylenebilir. Ancak İslami sosyal hareket, kültürel yenileşmeye temel teşkil eden yönüyle alınacak olursa, geleneksel tasavvufî düşüncenin 'yaratılanı' ile yoğrulmuş, örgütlenme ve kurallar açısından 'sivil' unsurlar bulunmasa da, çok yönlü bir sosyal hareketin kurumlaşmış şekli olarak 'sivil' nitelikli tarikat belirir.

ABSTRACT This study attempts to examine the relationship between the concept of "civil society," which has been a key concept after the 1980s, and the tariqats -traditional Islamic religious order- as one of the fundamentals, of Turkish society. The Nakhsibandi Order known as the most popular and the widest one in terms of its historical and geographical stance. The Erenköy Dergahı, a very classical and thus an "ideal type" among the other Nakhsihandi sub-orders, has published a monthly magazine called "Altinoluk." I have chosen this magazine as the foci of my study. "Social movement" is very important concept while examining the relationship between the tariqats and civil society. In this study, the concept of social movement was employed in order to see whether the tariqats can be accepted as social movements. When wc look at the characteristics of civil society and the tariqats, the tariqats cannot be considered as an organization of civil society. They are similar in regard to differentiation and legitimization, but different from organizational structure and the work of organization. This difference comes from some elements which are not found in civil society like the relationship between the shaikh and murid. Such elements are alien to what civil society means in classical sense. The Erenköy Tariqat, the subject of this study, can be considered as an organization of civil society and as an Islamic social movement in terms of its contributions to religious modernism and cultural change. On the other hand, it cannot be considered as an organization of civil society because of the nature of its organizational structure and the rules valid within the organization.
