Matematik ve müzik ortak alanında 2002-2018 yılları arasında türkiye'de yapılmış uygulamalı araştırmaların incelenmesi

Abstract

Öğrenme ortamlarında kullanılan materyal ve yöntemlerin etkisi öğrenciler açısından büyüktür. Bu araştırmada matematik ve müzik ilişkisi arasında oluşan yeni yöntemler ile öğrenciler üzerindeki etki görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın temel amacı; Türkiye'de 2002-2018 yılları arasında matematik ve müzik ortak alanında lisansüstü tezlerin ve makalelerin yapılış tarihleri, amacı, yöntemi, sonuçları, yazıldığı enstitü ve yayınlandığı dergiler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi, Dergipark ve Google Akademik veri tabanlarında tez ve makaleler taranarak doküman incelemesi yolu ile ulaşılan altı yükseköğretim uygulamalı tez ve yedi yükseköğretim uygulamalı makale araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yaklaşımında betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak durum çalışması modelinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın önemi, müziği eğitim aracı olarak kullanacak kişilere katkı sağlaması ve kaynak olması bakımından ayrıca "matematik ve müzik" konusunda disiplinlerarası çalışacak kişilere kaynak olması bakımından önem taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre, bir tezin doktora, beş tezin yüksek lisans tezi olduğu ve araştırmaların genelinde deneysel desende planlandığı ve çoğunluğunda müziğin matematik üzerine olan etkisinin görüldüğü sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Tezlerin yapıldığı enstitü açısından incelendiğinde ise, çoğunluğun eğitim bilimleri enstitüsünde yayınlandıkların bu tezlerin dışında bir tezin fen bilimleri, bir tezinde sosyal bilimler enstitüsünde yayınlandıkları görülmektedir. Makaleler yayınlandıkları dergiler açısından bakıldığında ise, bir tanesi sanat dergisinde yayınlanması hariç eğitim dergisinde yayınlandıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu bağlamda matematik derslerinde müzik kullanılması öğrenciler için derslerin daha akıcı, kalıcı ve eğlenceli olduğuna dair sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmalar okulöncesi, ilköğretim ve ortaokul dönemi çocuklar ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda yeni yapılacak araştırmaların farklı yaş dönemleri ile de çalışılacağı önerilirken, farklı konularda ve yöntemlerde de çalışılacağı, engelli öğrenciler ile de çalışmalar yapılabileceği önerilmektedir.

The effect of materials and methods used in learning environments is significant for the students. In this research, new methods formed between the relationship between mathematics and music and the effect on students are seen. In this context, the main purpose of the research; Between the years 2002-2018 the construction of mathematics and music history graduate dissertations and articles in the common areas in Turkey, purpose, method, results are intended to be examined in terms of articles published by the institute and magazines. Within the scope of this aim, six higher education applied theses and seven higher education applied articles which were accessed through document review by scanning theses and articles in Higher Education Council National Thesis Center, Dergipark and Google Academic databases were included in the research. In this study, descriptive research method was used in qualitative research approach. The importance of the research is important in terms of contributing to the people who will use the music as an educational tool and being a resource for the people who will work interdisciplinary about "mathematics and music". According to the results of the study, one thesis was a doctorate and five theses were master's thesis and it was planned experimentally throughout the research and most of the effects of music on mathematics were observed. When the theses were examined in terms of the institute, it was seen that the majority of these theses were published in the educational sciences institute and that one thesis was published in the sciences and one thesis was published in the social sciences institute. From the point of view of the journals in which the articles were published, it was concluded that one of the articles was published in the education journal except for the publication in the art magazine. In this context, the use of music in mathematics lessons for students more fluent, permanent and enjoyable results have been reached. The research was conducted with preschool, primary and secondary school children. In this context, while it is suggested that the new researches will be studied with different age periods, it is suggested that different studies will be conducted on different subjects and methods and studies can be conducted with disabled students.
