Oğuzlar yöresindeki sığırlarda neospora caninum ve besnoitia Besnoiti'nin seroprevalansı

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Çorum iline bağlı Oğuzlar ilçesindeki sığırlarda, N. caninum ve B. besnoiti seroprevalansının araştırılması ve bu etkenlerin bölgedeki varlığının tespit edilmesidir. Bu amaçla, Oğuzlar yöresindeki 100 sığırın vena jugularisinden antikoagulantsız tüplere venöz kan örneği alınmıştır. Kan örnekleri soğuk zincirde Kırıkkale Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Parazitoloji Anabilim Dalı Seroloji Laboratuvarına ulaştırılmıştır. Bu kanlardan elde edilen serum örnekleri kullanılıncaya kadar -20 °C'de muhafaza edilmiştir. Kan serumları N. caninum ve B. besnoiti yönünden ticari c-ELISA kitleri ile muayene edilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında incelenen serum örneklerinden ikisi N. caninum (%2), 5 tanesi ise B.besnoiti (%5) yönünden seropozitif olarak tespit edilmiştir. Örneklenen sığırların hiç birinde miks enfeksiyon tespit edilmemiştir. Neospora caninum seropozitif olarak tespit edilen örneklerden biri 1 yaş altında iken, diğeri ise 1-5 yaş arasındadır. Besnoitia besnoiti yönünden seropozitif tespit edilen sığırlardan 4 tanesi 1-5 yaş arası, 1 tanesi ise 6 yaşından büyük hayvanlardır. Neospora caninum ve B. besnoiti seropozitif olarak tespit edilen hayvanların tümü dişi hayvanlardır. Ancak her iki parazite ait seropozitiflik bakımından yaş grupları ve cinsiyet açısından istatistiki olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Sonuç olarak bu çalışma ile Oğuzlar yöresinde N.caninum ve B.besnoiti varlığı serolojik olarak tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma bölgede B. besnoiti yönünden seropozitif sığırların belirlendiği ilk çalışma olup, Türkiye'de ise üçüncü çalışmadır.

The aim of this study is to investigate the seroprevalence of N. caninum and B. besnoiti in cattle in the Oğuzlar district of Çorum province and to determine the presence of these protozoa in the region. For this purpose, venous blood samples were collected from the vena jugularis of 100 cattle in the Oğuzlar region to anticoagulant- free tubes. Blood samples were brought to the Serology Laboratory of the Parasitology Department of the Veterinary Faculty of Kırıkkale University in the cold chain. Serum samples extracted from these bloods were stored at -20 °C until use. Serum samples were examined with commercial c-ELISA kits for N. caninum and B. besnoiti. Two of the serum samples were found to be N. caninum (2%) and 5 were seropositive for B. besnoiti (5%). No mixed infection was detected in any of the serum sampled. One of the samples identified as N. caninum seropositive was under 1 year of age and the other was between 1-5 years of age. Four of the cattle seropositive for B. besnoiti were 1-5 years old and one cattle was older than 6 years old. All of the cattle that were found to be seropositive in terms of N. caninum and B. besnoiti were female. However, there was no statistically significant difference in terms of age and gender in terms of seropositivity of both parasites. As a result, the presence of N.caninum and B.besnoiti in Oğuzlar region were determined serologically. This study, the B. besnoiti about in the region is the first study to identify the seropositive cattle, is the third study in Turkey.
