Sosyal değişme açısından İbn Haldun ve Sorokin

Abstract

ÖZET Bu çalışmamızda ibn Haldun ile Sorokin'in sosyal değişme teorilerini inceleyerek benzerlikleri bulmaya çalıştık. Özellikle dördüncü bölümde İbn Haldun ve Sorokin'in değişme ile ilgili görüşlerinin karşılaştırarak analizini yaptık. Tezimizin konusu her iki düşünürün sosyal değişme teorilerini incelemek olduğundan,bu konunun dışındaki görüşlerine yer vermedik. Tezimiz konusu itibariyle teorik bir çalışmayı gerektirdiğinden, literatür taramaya dayanan yöntem kullanılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde ise karşılaştırma metodu takip edilmiştir. Bu çalışmamızın sonucunda îbn Haldun'un ve Sorokin'in değişme görüşleri bakımından birbirlerinden farklı olmadıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. Sorokin'de bulunan içsel değişme prensibinin, sınırlar prensibinin, uygarlıkların durumu ile ilgili görüşlerin, değişimdeki diyalektik ve determinizm yaklaşımının İbn Haldun'da da bulunduğu görülmüştür. Her iki düşünürün değişme kuramlarının ortak yanlan şunlardır: Tarihsel yöntem sosyal değişmenin anlaşılmasında en iyi yaklaşımdır. Sosyal değişmenin nedenleri çok ve çeşitlilik arzeder.Tek etken değişmeyi açıklamada yeterli değildir. Sosyal yapıdaki örgütlenmelerin çeşitliliği farklı insan tipleri meydana getirir.Diyalektik, değişme mekanizmasının temelini oluşturur. ABSTRACT In this study, we tried to find similarities between the ideas of social change of İbn Khaldun and Sorokin. By analysing the social change thoughts of İbn Khaldun and Sorokin, conclusions drived from this analysis were compared with the views in fourth chapter. Because of analysing İbn Khaldun and Sorokin' s social change toughts, other ideas of them were not contained in this study. This dissertation is a theoric study and bibliography research method was used. Therefore two thinkers were analyzed, inevitably comparative method was used in fourth chapter. In the conclusion of this study, it was seen that the change ideas of İbn Khaldun and Sorokin are not different from each other. We tried to show that Sorokin' s principle of immanent change, principle of limit, the idea of civilizations, dialectical method and deterministic approach are the same views as İbn Khaldun. Important insights of then- views are the following". The historical method offers the best approach to understanding social change.The factors involved in change are many and diverse.No single factor can adequately account for change.Differing forms of social organization create differing personality types.Dialectic is the basic mechanism of cfeange.Change tends to be pervasive occurring in all the social institutions.
