Bir Kamu Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Profesyonellik Tutumları

Abstract

Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin mesleki profesyonellik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcıolarak yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini, Bir Kamu Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde 2016-2017 eğitim ve öğretimyılına devam eden Hemşirelik bölümü 3. ve 4. Sınıf öğrencileri (N: 210) oluşturmuş, örneklemi ise araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 123öğrenci oluşturmuştur (n: 123). Araştırmanın verilerini toplamak için, Demografik Bilgi Formu ve Öğrenci Hemşirelerin ProfesyonellikTutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Öğrenci Hemşirelerin Profesyonellik Tutum Ölçeği, Hisar ve arkadaşları (2010) tarafından geliştirilmiştir.Ölçek, 28 maddeden ve 8 alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin alt boyutları şöyledir; Bilimsel Bilginin Artmasına Katkı, Otonomi, İşbirliği,Yeterlilik ve Sürekli Eğitim, Mesleki Örgütlere Katılım ve Mesleki Gelişim, Komitelerde Çalışma, Toplumsal Hizmet, Etik Kodlar veTeori’dir. Ölçekten alınan puan arttıkça profesyonellik tutumu artmaktadır (min: 28, max: 140). Ölçeğin Chronbach alfa değeri bu çalışmaiçin .91 bulunmuştur. Bulgular: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin yaş ortalaması 21.12 1.92yıl’dır. Öğrencilerin genel profesyonellik tutum puanortalaması yüksek bulunmuştur (110.13 15.73). Ölçeğin alt boyutlarından alınan puan ortalamaları sırasıyla en yüksek puan ortalamasınıbilimsel bilginin artmasına katkı, işbirliği otonomi, yeterlilik ve sürekli eğitim, toplumsal hizmet, etik kodlar ve teori, mesleki örgütlerekatılma ve mesleki gelişim, komitelerde çalışma boyutundan aldıkları saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Araştırmada, hemşirelik 3. ve 4. sınıföğrencilerinin mezuniyet sonrasında mesleki bilgi yükünü arttırmaya yönelik faaliyetlerde bulunmak istedikleri ve hemşirelik mesleğiniseverek okuyan öğrencilerin otonomi boyutundan aldığı puan ortalamasının diğer boyutlara göre yüksek ve anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır.Öğrencilerin genel profesyonellik tutumlarının yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.

Background: The professional perspective in nursing affects the perception of students' nursing image. Objectives: This study wasconducted as descriptive for determine attitude of professionalism that students of Nursing Department in Faculty of Health Sciences ofaPublic University. Methods: The population of the research are the 3rd and 4th class students (N:210) in Faculty of Health Sciences ofaPublic University, samples who agree to participate in research (n:123). To collect data for the study, Demographic Information Form andStudent Nurses’ Professionalism Attitude Survey were used. Student Nurses’ Professionalism Attitude Survey was developed by Hisar et al.(2010). The scale consists 28 items and 8 subscales. The sub-dimensions of the scale are as follows: contributing to the increase of scientificknowledge, autonomy, collaboration, qualifications and continuing education, participating in professional organizations and professionaldevelopment, working in the committee, social services, ethics codes and theory. As the score on the scale increases, the attitude ofprofessionalism increases (min:28, max: 140). The alpha value of the scale was found to be .91 for this study. Results: The average age ofnursing students is 21.12 1.92. General professional attitude score of students were high level (110.13 15.73). The mean scores obtainedfrom the sub-dimensions of the scale were found to be the highest score average in order of contributing to the increase of scientificknowledge, cooperation autonomy, qualification and continuing education, social service, ethics codes and theory, participation inprofessional organizations and professional development, working in committees. Conclusion: In this study, 3rd and 4th classnursingstudents want to improve their knowledge about the framework after being graduated, the students received an average score of autonomysizes enjoy reading the nursing profession and was found to be significantly higher compared to other dimensions. Students’ general attitudeof professionalism was found to be high level.
