Etyolojisinde çok çeşitli hastalıkların bulunduğu bu patolojinin kesin tanısı her zaman mümkün olamamaktadır. Tedavide öncelikli amaç, akut vertigo atağı ile gelen hastanın semptomlarının azaltılması olmalıdır.
