Günümüzde de bu alt gruplar çeşitli cihat anlayışlarını karşımıza çıkarmaktadır. Bu anlayışlara sahip gruplar, inançtan olduğu kadar, dünyadaki siyasal ve ekonomik değişimlerle de etkileşim halinde olarak kendileri de değişir. Bu kapsamda ortaya çıkan cihatçı akımlarla birlikte barış çalışmaları da yeniden şekillenmektedir.As religions change societies, other society dynamics give way to different religious movements and sects. These sectsi in turn, give way to suborganisations within the society. While each societal "building centre" gathers around an idea, it carries marginal subgroups within its periphery. Today, these subgroups bring out many different understandings of "jihad". Groups with these understandings change in accordance with the political and economical changes/developments in the world as much as they change with faith.
