A total of 932 volunteers, 444 men and 488 women, selected convenience sampling method participated in the study. ‘The Recreation Areas Assesment Scale (RAS)’ which studied for validity and reliability by Ulaş and Ayan (2017) were applied to the volunteers along with their marital status, occupation and income variables. In the applied scale, recreational areas were screened under 3 factors. In I. factor, size, functionality and equipment, II. factor, general competence, III. factor, the ability to meet basic needs and hygiene sub-dimensions were examined.The data obtained were evaluated in SPSS 22 package program. According to information obtained from data, there was no significant difference in terms of marital status and gender in overall average and all sub-dimensions in the evaluation of recreation areas (p>0.05). In terms of occupation and income, there were significant difference in overall average and between subgroups about Equipment, Functionality and Diversity of area, Quantitative and General Qualification of area, Hygiene Sufficiency and Meeting Basic Needs (p<0.05).
