Otopsisinde ölüme neden olabilecek travmatik değişim ve ölüm sebebi olabilecek başka patoloji saptanmayan olgu hakkında düzenlenmiş olay yeri tutanağı, cesedin bulunuş şekli, toksikolojik ve histopatolojik bulgular birlikte değerlendirildiğinde opioid analjeziklerden biri olan petidin entoksikasyonu sonucu gelişen ani ölüm olduğuna karar verilmiştir.Because of the suspicion of drug-related death, the case had been sent to the Morgue Department for autopsy. Before autopsy, a history of drug (pethidine) abuse was obtained from her friends and toxicological analysis of specimens taken during the autopsy confirmed the diagnosis of narcotic analgesics (pethidine)-related death. In intoxications with this type of drugs there are no specific autopsy findings just as other intoxications. For this reason a detailed history, evidence obtained during the crime scene investigation, au­topsy findings and a full toxicological and histopathologic analysis must be evaluated together in decision of the cause of death in these cases. Because of the fact that they can easily reach the illicit drugs, in the case of sudden death of a health worker these drugs must also be taken into consideration and toxicologic analysis must include the drugs of this type that are commonly used in clinical setting.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAdli TıpArticle191333657130
