Türkiye siyasetini ve toplum yapısını açıklamak için pek çok kez kullanılmış kavramsal bir araç olan merkez-çevre ilişkisini seçilme nedeni, son dönemde evrensel alanda olduğu gibi yerel anlamda da tartışmaların söylemler ve semboller üzerinden yapılmasıdır. Bu nedenle çalışmada öncelikle kavramsal olarak merkez-çevre ilişkilerini ele alıp, ardından Türk Modernleşmesinin bu anahtar yardımıyla analizi yapılmıştır. demokrasiyi kesintiye uğratan askeri darbelerin ortaya çıkmasına merkezle uzak çevre arasında yaşanan gerilimin ne ölçüde etkili olduğuna cevap aranmıştır. Makalede, demokrasinin yaşaması ve gelişmesi önünde merkez çevre çatışmasının halen devam etmekte olduğu ve bunun ciddi bir engel olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.In this study, 20 years after 28 February, this process is evaluated in relation to the center-environment relationship. The reason for choosing a center-environment relation, which is a conceptual tool that has been used many times to explain Turkish politics and the structure of society in the work, is the discussion of the local meaning as well as the universal in the last period is based on discourses and symbols. Therefore, in the study, firstly the concept of center-environment relations was discussed and then the analysis of Turkish modernization was made with this key. it has been sought to find out how effective the tension between the center and the remote environment is for the emergence of the military coups that disrupt democracy.
