İngiliz kömür madenlerinde buharlı makinelerin gürültüsüyle başlayan sanayileşme süreci, ulusal kültürünü bilimsel heves ve teknik buluşlara verilen desteklerle şekillendirmiş ülkelerde, mobil teknolojiler ve akıllı algoritmalar sayesinde yeni bir devrimin eşiğindedir. İşte bu çalışmada bu yeni teknolojiler incelenmiş ve Türkiye ekonomisine olası etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur. İlk olarak tarihsel süreç, ardışık sanayi devrimleri başlığı altında incelenmiştir. Ardından dördüncü sanayi devriminin genel amaçlı teknolojileri açıklanmıştır. Son olarak ise, Türk Ulusal Yenilik Sistemi incelenmiş ve akabinde Türkiye ekonomisi iktisadi gelişme, istihdam ve dış ticaret konu başlıklarında değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda iktisadi gelişme ve dünya ekonomisinde söz sahibi bir ülke olmayı amaçlayan Türkiye'nin, Ulusal Yenilik Sistemini dördüncü sanayi devriminin genel amaçlı teknolojileri ekseninde yapılandırması gerektiği vurgulanmıştır.The technology, which has evolved quite slowly and in an evolutionarily way until the 18th century, has increased its momentum in the last 250 years and has caused changes called as industrial revolutions. The process of industrialization, beginning with the noise of steam engines, is on the verge of a new revolution in countries that shaped national cultures with the support of scientific enthusiasm and technical inventions. This study focused on the effects of these new technologies on Turkey's economy. First, the historical process has been examined under the title of industrial revolutions. Then, general-purpose technologies of the fourth industrial revolution are explained. Finally, Turkish National Innovation System was examined, and economic development, employment and foreign trade has been evaluated in the context of Turkey's economy.
