Öğretmenlerin öğretim programlarına ilişkin farkındalıklarının ve programlardan yararlanma durumlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Ankara ili merkez ilçelerinde görev yapan ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise öğretmenlerinin uyguladıkları öğretim programına ilişkin farkındalıkları ve öğretim programlarından yararlanma durumları incelenmiş, ayrıca öğretmenlerin öğretim programlarından yararlanma durumları ile değişime karşı tutumları arasında ilişki olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Tarama türü olan bu araştırmada üç bölümden oluşan veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma Ankara ili merkez ilçelerinde görev yapan 380 öğretmenle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler SPSS istatistik programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Analizlerde yüzde, frekans, aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapmanın yanında, iki kategorili karşılaştırmalarda bağımsız gruplar t-testi, ikiden fazla kategoriye sahip değişkenlerin karşılaştırılmasında ise tek yönlüvaryans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, öğretmenlerin üçte ikisi öğretim programları ile ilgili hizmet içi eğitim aldığını belirtmesine karşın, çoğu bu konuda hizmet içi eğitime ihtiyaç duyduğunu ifade etmiştir. Ayrıca, öğretmenlerin uyguladıkları öğretim programını inceleme, derse hazırlanma ve uygulamada öğretim programından yararlanma ve ders dışı kaynaklardan faydalanma durumlarının oldukça yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Bununla birlikte, öğretmenlerin öğretim programından yararlanma biçimleri cinsiyet ve görev yaptıkları eğitim kademesine göre farklılık gösterirken; kıdem, mezun oldukları yükseköğretim programı, lisansüstü eğitim yapıp yapmama ve öğretim programının tanıtımına ilişkin hizmet içi eğitim (HİE) alıp alınmaması bakımından anlamlı düzeyde farklılığa rastlanmamıştır.Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, öğretmenlerin değişime karşı tutumlarının olumlu yönde olduğu, değişime karşı tutumları ile öğretim programından yararlanma biçimleri arasında pozitif yönde ve düşük bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. In this research, the awareness on the curriculum implemented by the primary, elementary and high school teachers working in the central provinces of Ankara, and the situation teachers' benefit from the curriculum was examined. In addition, whether there is a relationship between the situation teachers' benefit from the curriculumand their resistance to change was investigated. Survey method was used in the research and data was collected via an instrument consisting of three parts. The sample of the study consisted of 380 teachers working in central provinces of Ankara. Data gathered was analyzed using SPSS statistical program.In the analysis of data, percent, frequency, arithmetic mean and standard deviation was calculated. Besides, independence t test, in two categorical comparisons and ANOVA, in three and more categorical comparisons was utilized. The findings showed that while two thirds of the teachers took in-service education course about the curriculum, the most of them need in-service education. Also, it was found that the levels of teachers' examine of curriculum, use of curriculum in preparation for course and in practice, and use of extra-curricular resources were to be quite high. Furthermore, whilst the ways teachers use of curriculum was differ from in terms of gender and the educational stage in which their work, there was not significant difference in terms of seniority, the higher education program they graduate, the situation whether or not to conduct postgraduate education, and the situation whether they participate in-service training about introduction of the curriculum. According to the findings of the study, teachers' attitude towards change was found to be positive. Also, positive and low relationship was found between teachers' attitude towards resistance to change and the situation teachers' benefit from the curriculum.
