Genel lise müdürlerinin eğitim öğretim ile ilgili yeterliklerinin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önem derecesi

Abstract

ÖZET Bu araştırma ile genel lise müdürlerinin eğitim-öğretim ile ilgili yeterliklerinin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde ne derece önemli olduğunu belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma Kırıkkale ili şehir merkezinde bulunan 7 resmi genel lisede örneklem olarak alınan toplam 250 öğretmen üzerinde yapılmış ve yürütülmesinde genel tarama modeli uygulanmıştır. Çalışma teorik ve uygulamalı olmak üzere iki aşamadan oluşmuştur. İlk aşamada konu ile ilgili literatür taranmış, daha önce yapılan araştırma sonuçları incelenmiş, bu bilgilerin ışığında ve uzman görüşleri alınarak araştırmacı tarafından bir bilgi toplama formu geliştirilmiştir. Öğretmenlere yönelik olarak hazırlanan bu bilgi formu; kişisel bilgiler ve genel liselerde müdürlerin eğitim-öğretim ile ilgili yeterliklerinin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önem derecesinin değerlendirilmesi, olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmuştur. Bilgi formundaki soru maddeleri "beşli likert" ölçeği türünde düzenlenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde yüzde, standart sapma, aritmetik ortalama, mod değerleri belirlenmiş ve t testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular aşağıda özetlenmiştir: Genel liselerde öğretmenler müdürlerin eğitim-öğretim ile ilgili belirlenen yeterliklerini öğretmenlerle iletişiminde "çok" ve "yüksek" derecede önemli bulmuşlardır. Bayan öğretmenler okul müdürlerinin belirlenen yeterliklerinden 7 tanesini "çok" 21 tanesini "yüksek" derecede öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önemli bulmuşlardır. Okul müdürünün özellikle "öğretmen ve öğrencilere güven verici demokratik kurallar içerisinde örnek ve etkili kişilik sergilemek","bilgi ve kararları zamanında açık olarak öğretmenlere ulaştırmak" ve "öğretim ortamında gelişen olaylara tamamen önyargısız yaklaşmak" ile ilgili yeterliklerinin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde yüksek derecede önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Erkek öğretmenler okul müdürünün belirlenen yeterliklerden 7 tanesini "çok" 21 tanesini "yüksek" derecede öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önemli bulmuşlardır. Okul müdürünün özellikle "bilgi ve kararları zamanında ve açık olarak öğretmenlere ulaştırmak", "okul-çevre, okul-aile işbirliğinin sağlanmasına önem vermek" ve "öğretmen ve öğrencilere güven verici demokratik kurallar içerisinde örnek davranış ve etkili kişilik sergilemek" ile ilgili yeterliklerinin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Müdürün belirlenen yeterliklerinden "etkili öğretimi sağlamak amacıyla araştırmalar yapmak, projeler geliştirmek" /'okul-çevre, okul-aile işbirliğinin sağlanmasına önem vermek", "öğretmenlerin bireysel amaçlarıyla okulun amaçlarını bütünleştirmek", "bilgi ve kararları zamanında ve açık olarak öğretmenlere ulaştırmak", "öğretmen ve öğrencilere güven verici demokratik kurallar içerisinde örnek davranış ve etkili kişilik sergilemek" ile ilgili yeterliklerinin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önem derecesine ilişkin bayan ve erkek öğretmen görüşleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılığın olduğu ancak; diğer 23 yeterlik için anlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Bu bulgular ışığında okul müdürleri için belirlenen yeterliklerin öğretmenlerle iletişiminde önemli olduğu kanısına varılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular ve sonuçlara dayalı olarak gerekli önerilerde bulunulmuştur. II

ABSTRACT In this study, the importance of school manager's proficiency at the communication between the manager and teacher; to which we may call the most strategic element of administration process, was determined as the problem. The study was carried out with participation of 250 teachers from 7 high schools in Kırıkkale city centre. In the application of the survey, general scanning method was used. The study consisted of two phases; theory and application. In the first phase, the literature related to the subject was searched, with the necessary data was gathered, experts were consulted and an information form was composed. This information form aiming the teachers consists of two parts; 1. Personal information, 2. The importance of the state high school manager's proficiency related to education for the communication between the manager and the teachers. In the analysis phase of the data, percentage, standard deviation, arithmetic average, mode are determined and t test was applied. The information obtained was summarized as follows; The female teachers consider 7 of the determined proficiency of the school director "very important" and 21 "of high importance" at the process of communication between the teacher and the school manager. The school manager's "showing an ideal and effective personality within reliable democratic rules towards students and teachers", "transmitting information and decision barely to the teachers at the right time", and "approaching to IIIthe events which happens at the process of education with no prejudice" are considered to be of vital importance amongst the female teachers.. The male teachers consider 7 of the determined "proficiency of the school manager" "very important" and 21 "of high importance" during communication. They state that the school manager's effectiveness at "transmitting information and decision barely to the teachers at the right time", "giving importance to provide school-environment, school-family relationship at their best", and" showing an ideal and effective personality within reliable democratic rules towards students and teachers" are very important in the process of communication. It is stated that amongst the school manager's determined proficiencies these items show difference between the male and female teachers; "giving importance to provide school-environment, school-family relationship at their best", "integrating the teachers' personal objectives with the school's objectives", "transmitting information and decision barely to the teachers at time right time", "transmitting information and decision barely to the teachers at the right time" " showing an ideal and effective personality within reliable democratic rules towards students and teachers. For the other 23 determined proficiencies there are no significant differences. These findings the proficiency determined for the school managers are considered to be very important in the process of communication ^etween the teachers and the managers. Some recommendations were made based on the findings reached in the research. IV
