TÜRKİYE'DE UYGULAMALI DİN PSİKOLOJİSİ

Abstract

Din Psikolojisi dinin duygu, düşünce ve davranış üzerindeki etkisini inceleyen bir bilim dalıdır. Din Psikolojisinin bilimsel bir alan olması 19. yüzyılın sonuna kadar dayanır. 19. yüzyılın sonu ve 20. yüzyılı başlarında Amerika'da ilk din psikolojisi kitapları yayınlanmaya ve üniversitelerde Din Psikolojisi dersleri verilmeye başlanmıştır. Din Psikolojisi bilimi bugün, Amerikan Psikolojisi Derneği'nde (APA) Din Psikolojisi ve Maneviyat (Psychology of Religion and Spirituality) başlığı ile psikolojinin alt dalı olarak yer almaktadır. Türkiye'de Din psikolojisi alanındaki çalışmalar ise 1950'li yıllara dayanır. 1950 yılında Bedii Ziya Egemen Ankara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi'nde Din Psikolojisi alanında ilk dersleri vermeye başlayarak, ilk Din Psikolojisi kitabını 1952'de yayınlamıştır. Türkiye'de Din Psikolojisi bilimi günümüzde, İlahiyat ve İslami İlimler Fakülteleri'nde lisans ve lisansüstü eğitiminde yer almaktadır. Son yıllarda ise, bazı Psikoloji bölümlerinde ise "Din ve Maneviyat Psikolojisi" adı ile Ana Bilim Dalı kurulmuştur. Bu çalışmada öncelikle, lisans ve lisansüstü eğitiminde Din Psikolojisi biliminin yeri ortaya konulacaktır. Daha sonra Türkiye'de Din Psikolojisi alanında madde bağımlıları, kanser hastaları, şehit aileleri, göçmenler, mahkûmlar, engelliler gibi dezavantajlı gruplara yönelik manevi bakım temelli Uygulamalı Din Psikolojisi çalışmalarına yer verilecektir.

Psychology of Religion is a branch of science that studies the effect of religion on emotion, thought and behavior. The Psychology of Religion as a scientific field dates back to the end of the 19th century. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the first Psychology of Religion books were published in the United States and the Psychology of Religion lectures were given in universities. The Psychology of Religion is today a sub-branch of psychology in the American Psychological Association (APA) with the title of Psychology of Religion and Spirituality. Studies in the Psychology of Religion in Turkey date back to the 1950s. In 1950, Bedii Ziya Egemen started to give the first lectures in the field of Psychology of Religion at Ankara University Faculty of Theology and published his first Psychology of Religion book in 1952. Today, the psychology of religion in Turkey takes place in undergraduate and graduate education in the Faculties of Theology and Islamic Sciences. In recent years, a Department of Psychology of Religion and Spirituality has been established in some Psychology departments. In this study, first of all, the place of Psychology of Religion in undergraduate and graduate education will be revealed. Later, in the field of Psychology of Religion in Turkey, spiritual care-based Applied Psychology of Religion studies will be given for disadvantaged groups such as drug addicts, cancer patients, families of martyrs, immigrants, prisoners, and the disabled.
