Covid-19 salgın sürecinde sınıf öğretmenlerinin yaşadığı sorunlar

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı, covid-19 salgın hastalık sürecinde sınıf öğretmenlerinin yaşadığı sorunları ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla 40 sınıf öğretmeni ile görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin 20 si devlet kurumunda 20 si de özel okulda görev almaktadır. Görüşmeler, pandemi sürecinin olumsuz koşullarından dolayı çevrimiçi ortamda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Öğretmenler ile yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda ortaya çıkan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. İçerik analizi sonrasında dört tema (eğitim öğretim sürecinde yaşanan sorunlar, öğretmenlerin yaşadığı sorunlar, öğrencilerin yaşadığı sorunlar, neler yapılabilir) belirlenmiş, bu temalarda toplam 139 kod ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Öğretmenler, covid-19 salgın hastalık sürecinde kullanılan uzaktan eğitim modeli sayesinde mesleki gelişim sağladıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Ders anlatımı için kullandıkları bilgisayar, bilgisayar programı, bilgisayar yazılımı ve internet gibi birçok materyali iyi bir seviyede kullanmayı öğrenmişlerdir. Öğretmenler uzaktan eğitimde yaşadıkları materyal, teknolojik alet, online süreç konusunda yaşadığı sorunları öğrencilerin dikkat ve motivasyonu üzerinde olumsuz yönde etki ettiği ve derse olan ilgi ve katılımı azalttığını ifade etmişlerdir.

The aim of the research is to reveal the problems experienced by classroom teachers during the covid-19 epidemic. For this purpose, 40 classroom teachers were interviewed. Twenty of the teachers participating in the research work in public institutions and 20 of them work in private schools. The interviews were conducted online due to the adverse conditions of the pandemic process. In this research, the phenomenology design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The interview form developed by the researcher was used to collect the data. The data obtained as a result of the interviews with the teachers were obtained by using the content analysis method. After the content analysis, four themes (problems experienced in the education process, problems experienced by teachers, problems experienced by students, what can be done) were determined, and a total of 139 codes were revealed in these themes. Teachers stated that they provided professional development thanks to the distance education model used during the covid-19 epidemic disease process. They have learned to use many materials such as computers, computer programs, computer software and the Internet, which they use for lectures, at a good level. Teachers stated that the problems they experienced in distance education about materials, technological tools, and online processes had a negative impact on students' attention and motivation and reduced their interest and participation in the lesson.
