Bilgelik uğraşı olarak felsefe

Abstract

Bu çalışma, bilgeliğin ne olduğunu; bilgeliğin bilgi ve davranış temellerini; insanı bilgece bir yaşama sevk eden nedenleri; farklı bilgelik çeşitlerini; bilgeliğin uygulanabilir bir modelinin mümkün olup olmadığını ve nihayet felsefi yaşam tarzından ne anlamamız gerektiğini izah etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Felsefe tarihinde bilgeliğin yeri ve önemi konusunda hala bir belirsizlik mevcuttur. Kaldı ki tarihsel olarak bilgeliğe yüklenen anlam, özelde felsefenin ne olması gerektiğine dair bir tercihi de beraberinde getirmektedir. Öte yandan, “bilgelik-sevgisi” olarak felsefe bilgeliğin yalnızca bir türüdür. Bu yüzden bu yazıda öteki bilgelik türleri ile felsefi bilgelik arasındaki benzer ve farklı yönler ortaya konularak, bunların günümüz insanı açısından taşıdığı önem belirtilmeye çalışıldı.

This study aims at exploring the meaning of the following questions: What is being wise? What is intellectual and behavioral basis of being wise? What is the reasons for living wise? What is the difference between several modes of living wise? Is being wise a model for other humans to be applied in their life contexts? There is a common debate around the meaning of living wise in the history of philosophy? The meaning settled for the concept of ‘wise‘ reveals also preferred meaning of philosophy. Since philosophy as love for wisdom represents merely a form of living wise, there is a task for comparing and contrasting philosophy with other forms of living wise.
