    Analysis Of The Relationship Between Teacher Candidates ‘Skills Of Knowledge, Media And Technology And Their Views On Distance Education

    The aim of this study is to determine the predictive level of pre-service teachers’ knowledge, media and technology skills on distance education. In the research in which the relational scanning model was used; data were obtained by applying Knowledge, Media and Technology Skills Competence Scale and Distance Education Views Scale to 359 pre-service teachers studying in different departments and classes in the faculty of education of a state university. Relationships between variables were calculated using parametric tests, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation and multiple regression analysis. According to the results of the t-test, the levels of programming, problem solving, digital content development, effectiveness and predisposition differ significantly in terms of gender. According to the results of one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), communication and collaboration, programming, problem solving, digital content development, security, effectiveness, teaching and total scores of knowledge, media and technology skills shows a significant difference in terms of grade level. Besides, programming, digital content development and total scores of information, media, and technology skills show a significant difference in terms of departments. According to the correlation analysis results, the highest relationships were seen between programming and effectiveness. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, problem solving is a significant predictor of pre-service teachers’ views on distance education. At the end of the study, suggestions for improving teacher candidates’ knowledge, media and technology skills and attitudes towards distance education were presented. © 2022.
