Öğe Social relations in virtual world and social media aggression(Sciencepark Research Organization and Counseling, 2019) Eraslan L.; Kukuoglu A.Living in the age of constant technology developments shifted social communication patterns and shifted social relations to virtual environments. The socialisation process that takes place in digital platforms also transferred many negative elements experienced in social life to the virtual environment. That is, the aggression behaviours concerning these negative processes have also been transferred to the virtual communication. The current study examines the effects of social media aggression (SMA) regarding digital platforms on the social relations in human life in the context of various variables. Results of the study revealed that the counter-comments towards participants’ values have a significant effect on participants’ demonstration of aggressive tendencies. In other notable finding participants reported that they aware of their rights f=75 (33%) against negative SMA, while f=150 (67%) of participants do not know them. ©2019 All rights reserved.Öğe Use of new approaches in teaching sociology (application of a technique for producing idea)(2011) Eraslan L.Society-based research subjects are the study of sociology which is an important branch of science in the field of social science. It is a branch of studying society, social values, social groups, social classes and economical, political, social, religious, lawful institutions, population, usage, custom, value, norm, beliefs and relations and changes between them. In this context, sociology gains sociological thinking skill with its own peculiar methodology, and therefore it helps complex social events to be understood better. Giving the faculty of looking at sociological events with the eye of sociology and sociological thinking to individuals in educational process in early ages will enable the faculty of 'understanding' of society and social events to be more established and systematic. It is an urgent need of using teaching methods and techniques leading to critical sight which is the basement of sociology, instead of passive student profile resulting from use of traditional teaching methods and techniques in teaching sociology. It is known well that as a need of modern education understanding, this requirement exists physically in teaching programs but educators are in difficulty of application of new techniques. The main goal of this study is to emphasize the application of modern teaching techniques in teaching sociology actively. For this reason, application of producing idea technique is going to be realized in teaching of sociology. © 2011 Academic Journals.
