Numerical Research on Wireless Inductive and Capacitive Power Transfer Systems

Wireless power transfer technology has been a topic of interest in recent years. Compared to wired charging technology, it offers many advantages such as simple design, low cost, flexibility, safe and long-lasting operation. The main purpose of the paper is to present numerical research using Scopus database on inductive and capacitive power transfer systems that prominent among other wireless charging technologies. In this context, the number of documents in the literature is given according to the years, authors, and countries. Meantime, the relevant subject areas and document types are presented as a percentage. As a result of the research, it has been observed that the studies on inductive power transfer are more available than the capacitive power transfer. The number of documents for both wireless charging technologies peaked in 2019. Moreover, America and China are superior to the others when compared in terms of documentation. While China is superior to America in inductive charging technology, America surpasses China in capacitive charging technology. The variations of engineering and conference papers are more figured in both wireless charging technologies than others. This paper is expected to serve as a significant reference for researchers who are interested in wireless charging technology.
