Complying with the operational directives and maintenance are twin pillars for achieving this comprehensive goal. Within this scope, this study handles the maintenance strategy selection problem which is the first step of the effective maintenance management for one of the most important equipment groups among thousands of equipment in one of the large-scale hydroelectric power plants which have great importance for Turkey energy mix with approximately a fifth share in the total generation. So as to determine the most critical equipment group AHP-TOPSIS combination is used. For the selected equipment group, the most appropriate of all applicable 4 maintenance strategies are determined via PROMETHEE, which has been limited used for the maintenance strategy selection problem in the literature despite its advantages. As a result of this study which is the first in the literature with its method configuration and its application in hydroelectric power plants, a 1-year observation is conducted to confirm the proposed approach, and a 100% improvement is achieved in the unit shutdowns resulting from the selected equipment.Öğe An Evaluation of the Market Strategies and Decisions of the Contracted Broiler Enterprises in Bolu, Sakarya and Ankara via Analytical Hierarchy Process(Gorgan Univ Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources, 2021) Tuncel, Seyfettin; Eren, Tamer; Gur, Seyda; Sen, Gokhan; Sipahi, CevatThis study was performed to evaluate the decisions of the contracted broiler enterprises for the integrated company selection in terms of 5 criteria (C1: Stability, C2: Crisis management, C3: Profitability C4: Flexibility, C5: Supply). In this study, 68 enterprises were selected with stratified random sampling among the broiler enterprises, operating in Sakarya (12.0%), Bolu (11.0%) and Ankara (3.2%) those constitute 24.2% of contracted broiler enterprises in Turkey in 2017. The research was conducted with two large scales (A and B) and two small scales (C and D) integrated companies in the broiler sector, where broiler enterprises produce under a contract. According to these 5 criteria, the optimum selection of integrated companies of broiler enterprises among A, B, C, and D was analyzed using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). As a result of the analysis, the importance level of C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5 criteria among 5 criteria was found strategically significant at 46.0%, 20.0%, 18.0%, 10.0% and 6.0%, respectively. Thus, Cl criterion was determined as the most dominant criterion. The selection weights of integrated companies A, B, C, and D were 34.5%, 36.7%, 12.6% and 17.1%, respectively. This result shows that working with large-scale A and B integrated companies is strategically advantageous for broiler enterprises.Öğe Analysis of criteria acting on coronavirus(Yildiz Technical Univ, 2023) Sonel, Edanur; Gur, Seyda; Eren, TamerViruses are obligate intracellular parasites that can infect animals, plants, bacteria and many more microorganisms. Viruses are spread by aphids and insects in plants, and by bloodsuck-ing insects in animals. In humans, they can cause flu by spreading through respiratory, hu-man-to-human contact, water and food. Some viruses, however rare, infect humans from an-imals. Coronavirus is one of the viruses transmitted from animals to humans. The new type of coronavirus (Covid-19), which is on the world agenda, is similar to seasonal flu, previously unidentified and contagious virus in humans. In this study, new types of coronavirus and its effects were investigated and studies related to coronavirus conducted worldwide were ana-lyzed. As the treatment process in the world continues, every country has started to take its measures. The measures taken by countries, especially Turkey, have been identified. Health services need to be met at the maximum level in the face of increasing demand. The number of patients per each health personnel in Turkey is too much. Considering this situation, it is seen that ensuring patient satisfaction is directly proportional to the satisfaction of the personnel. For this reason, some studies such as the positioning of polyclinics and hospitals encountered in health services, capacity planning and demand estimations, as well as the studies about the creation of study schedules of health personnel are also gained importance. In this study, it is aimed to provide the personnel satisfaction as much as possible. The Law No. 3153 on Radiology, Radionomy and Electrical Therapy and Other Physiotherapy Institutions published by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, dated 19/4/1937, as well as the requirements of the Annex-1 of 21/1/2010, is considered. The scheduling problem for eight radiology technicians working in a private hospital in Ankara is discussed. A mathematical model is proposed using the goal programming method in order to assign the technicians to the four shifts as equally as possible. According to the researches, this is the first study which has the feature of radiology technicians and by considering government and hospital conditions as well as with staff requests, by application area.Öğe Operating room scheduling with surgical team: a new approach with constraint programming and goal programming(Springer, 2023) Gur, Seyda; Pinarbasi, Mehmet; Alakas, Haci Mehmet; Eren, TamerIn recent years, there has been a significant increase in health expenditures due to population growth. In this context, hospital administrators have started to look for ways to use existing resources effectively. Operating rooms are one of the most important units of a hospital. The efficient use of these units is seen as a decrease in cost items and an increase in revenues. At this point, it is aimed to use the operating rooms effectively in this study. The fact that it contains many uncertainties and many stakeholders in its structure complicates the solution process of the operating room scheduling problem. In this study, planning was made that considered the uncertainty in the operation times and the surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists in the surgical team. To solve the problem, the logical modeling power of the constraint programming method and the power of the goal programming method to stretch rigid constraints were utilized. In the first stage, the balanced assignment of the surgical team (surgeon-nurse-anesthesiologist) was carried out, while in the second stage, operations were assigned to the operating rooms. The proposed model was evaluated according to the operating rooms' utilization rates and the solution's effectiveness. The results showed that the proposed model successfully created an effective and efficient schedule.Öğe Ranking Of Sustainability Criteria For Industrial Symbiosis Applications Based On Anp(VILNIUS GEDIMINAS TECH UNIV, 2020) Alakas, Haci Mehmet; Gur, Seyda; Ozcan, Evrencan; Eren, TamerEnterprises have started to establish partnerships both to use their internal resources efficiently and to increase their environmental performance. Partnerships and interoperability of enterprises with different processes enable them to benefit more from their benefits. Moving towards the local and regional economy, these partnerships that increase environmental and own resources have created industrial symbiosis practices. Industrial ecology fields are established in these applications. Both environmental and economic gains can be achieved through the efficient use of resources by enterprises and the minimization of wastes. For the sustainability of these partnerships to be established by enterprises, they need to analyze the measures they take internally. In this study, the concept of industrial symbiosis and the criteria that are effective for the sustainability of these industrial symbiosis are evaluated. Analytical network process method is used. Thus, the industrial symbiosis infrastructures to be established by enterprises have been enabled to move strategically.Öğe Scheduling and Planning in Service Systems with Goal Programming: Literature Review(Mdpi, 2018) Gur, Seyda; Eren, TamerBackground: People want to be able to evaluate different kinds of information in a good way.
