Öğe Analysis of the Difficulties of SMEs in Industry 4.0 Applications by Analytical Hierarchy Process and Analytical Network Process(Mdpi, 2018) Sevinc, Ali; Gur, Seyda; Eren, TamerThe concept of Industry 4.0 is seen as a recent paradigm in the manufacturing sector. The use of new production and management technologies required by the concept of Industry 4.0 is very important for small enterprises in order to keep up with the competition. However, most enterprises look at these requirements in a negative way. This study analyzes the propulsion forces of Industry 4.0 adopted in small and medium enterprises. By analyzing the difficulties in the transition process of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to Industry 4.0, the company contributes to the determination of strategic steps taking these results into consideration. This will facilitate the transition of enterprises to Industry 4.0 and progress can be made towards efficient use of resources. A hierarchical structure was established under the four main criteria of innovation, organization, environmental, and financial aspects, and the relative weight of these criteria and sub-criteria were calculated. The surveys conducted on business managers were evaluated using multi-criteria decision-making methods by the analytic hierarchy process method and the analytic network process. At the same time, the interaction between these criteria was taken into consideration and the criteria were re-evaluated by the analytical network process method. The results of the two methods seem to support each other.Öğe Application of Operational Research Techniques in Operating Room Scheduling Problems: Literature Overview(Hindawi Ltd, 2018) Gur, Seyda; Eren, TamerIncreased healthcare costs are pushing hospitals to reduce costs and increase the quality of care. The discovery that objects born of the Internet communicate with each other without external factors revealed, with the fourth industrial revolution, the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT). The communication of objects with each other means minimum labor and minimum cost for enterprises. Enterprises that want to transition to the Internet of Things face many difficulties. Identifying and correcting these difficulties can lead to both lost time and high cost. In this study, we investigated the difficulties encountered in the Internet of Things. As a result of the study, the degree of importance of the factors causing these difficulties was determined by multi-criteria decision-making methods and was presented to the enterprises. The main criteria, and the sub-criteria related to these main criteria, were determined. The main purpose of the enterprises transitioning to Industry 4.0 is the communication of things with each other. In this study, we aimed to determine which criteria caused difficulties in the transition to Industry 4.0. Then, the degree of importance of the criteria was determined using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and analytic network process (ANP) methods, in the multi-criteria decision-making. Through the study, we determined which criteria should be taken into consideration by the enterprises that want to transition to the Internet of Things. In this way, enterprises will be able to accelerate that transition by minimizing time and monetary loss.Öğe Goal Programming Approach For The Radiology Technician Scheduling Problem(Yildiz Technical Univ, 2019) Ozcan, Evrencan; Danisan, Tugba; Yumusak, Rabia; Gur, Seyda; Eren, TamerPopulation growth is led to an increase in demand in the health sector. Health services need to be met at the maximum level in the face of increasing demand. The number of patients per each health personnel in Turkey is too much. Considering this situation, it is seen that ensuring patient satisfaction is directly proportional to the satisfaction of the personnel. For this reason, some studies such as the positioning of polyclinics and hospitals encountered in health services, capacity planning and demand estimations, as well as the studies about the creation of study schedules of health personnel are also gained importance. In this study, it is aimed to provide the personnel satisfaction as much as possible. The Law No. 3153 on Radiology, Radionomy and Electrical Therapy and Other Physiotherapy Institutions published by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey, dated 19/4/1937, as well as the requirements of the Annex-1 of 21/1/2010, is considered. The scheduling problem for eight radiology technicians working in a private hospital in Ankara is discussed. A mathematical model is proposed using the goal programming method in order to assign the technicians to the four shifts as equally as possible. According to the researches, this is the first study which has the feature of radiology technicians and by considering government and hospital conditions as well as with staff requests, by application area.Öğe Operating room scheduling with surgical team: a new approach with constraint programming and goal programming(Springer, 2023) Gur, Seyda; Pinarbasi, Mehmet; Alakas, Haci Mehmet; Eren, TamerIn recent years, there has been a significant increase in health expenditures due to population growth. In this context, hospital administrators have started to look for ways to use existing resources effectively. Operating rooms are one of the most important units of a hospital. The efficient use of these units is seen as a decrease in cost items and an increase in revenues. At this point, it is aimed to use the operating rooms effectively in this study. The fact that it contains many uncertainties and many stakeholders in its structure complicates the solution process of the operating room scheduling problem. In this study, planning was made that considered the uncertainty in the operation times and the surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists in the surgical team. To solve the problem, the logical modeling power of the constraint programming method and the power of the goal programming method to stretch rigid constraints were utilized. In the first stage, the balanced assignment of the surgical team (surgeon-nurse-anesthesiologist) was carried out, while in the second stage, operations were assigned to the operating rooms. The proposed model was evaluated according to the operating rooms' utilization rates and the solution's effectiveness. The results showed that the proposed model successfully created an effective and efficient schedule.Öğe Ranking Of Sustainability Criteria For Industrial Symbiosis Applications Based On Anp(VILNIUS GEDIMINAS TECH UNIV, 2020) Alakas, Haci Mehmet; Gur, Seyda; Ozcan, Evrencan; Eren, TamerEnterprises have started to establish partnerships both to use their internal resources efficiently and to increase their environmental performance. Partnerships and interoperability of enterprises with different processes enable them to benefit more from their benefits. Moving towards the local and regional economy, these partnerships that increase environmental and own resources have created industrial symbiosis practices. Industrial ecology fields are established in these applications. Both environmental and economic gains can be achieved through the efficient use of resources by enterprises and the minimization of wastes. For the sustainability of these partnerships to be established by enterprises, they need to analyze the measures they take internally. In this study, the concept of industrial symbiosis and the criteria that are effective for the sustainability of these industrial symbiosis are evaluated. Analytical network process method is used. Thus, the industrial symbiosis infrastructures to be established by enterprises have been enabled to move strategically.Öğe Scheduling and Planning in Service Systems with Goal Programming: Literature Review(Mdpi, 2018) Gur, Seyda; Eren, TamerBackground: People want to be able to evaluate different kinds of information in a good way.
