    The purpose of this study is to discuss the international economics including all the countries and test the gravity theory by using social network analysis. The contribution of this study to the economics is to try to explain the international economics in a social network that composed with all countries international trade relations. In addition, this study is important for the using of the different analysis methods used by different disciplines in interdisciplinary way. The data is consist of international trade datas of year 2008. Centrality, cliques and co-membership analysis of the network is done; the direct international trade relations between countries and indirect relations are discussed

    The Current Account Deficit Problem of the Turkish Economy: Importance of Saving and Private Pension System

    After chronic problems of Turkish economy start to gradually disappear, the current account deficit problem attracts more and more attention. The current account deficit becomes the most important risk for the economy because it gets unsustainable last five year. It seems like the main reason of current account deficit problem of the Turkish economy is the lack of investment-saving balance. Savings-investment imbalance does not result from high-level of investment but from extraordinary low savings. For removing current account deficit, increasing national savings is crucial. For increasing the volume of savings, there are some critical elements such as raising income level, ensuring fairness in income distribution and reducing import dependency in the industry. The depth and effectiveness of financial market, per-capita income, taxation, real interest rates and demographical factors such as dependency rate, level of education and urbanization are discussed to affect the volume of saving rate. A solution based on new private pension system can cure the increasing saving rate problems in the Turkish economy

    Uluslararası Para ve Sermaye Piyasaları

    Bu çalışmada ekonomik sistemin ana unsurlarından olan para ve sermaye pi-yasalarının uluslararası niteliği açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda ilk olarak döviz piyasaları; anında teslim işlemleri, vadeli işlemler ve swap işlemleri olarak üç başlık altında incelenmiştir. Daha sonra uluslararası kredi ve mevduat piyasaları tanıtılmış, gelir düzeyi farklılıklarının yıllar itibariyle sınır ötesi kredi ve mevduat gelişimine etkisi tartışılmıştır. Senede dayalı borçlanma araçlarından olan finansman ve hazine bonolarının uluslararası niteliği incelendikten sonra kredi bulmanın zorlaştığı kriz dönemlerinde alternatif finans kaynağı olan ticari kredilerin önemi üzerinde durul-muştur. İlerleyen kısımda ise, faiz maliyetine katlanmadan uluslararası piyasalardan fon temin etmeyi olanaklı kılan hisse senedi piyasaları ve uzun vadeli fon ihtiyacını karşılayan uluslararası tahvil piyasaları açıklanmıştır.
