A RESEARCH ON THE TEXT TYPES IN THE TURKISH COURSEBOOKS

dc.description.abstractIn this research, the texts in the 7th and 8th grade Turkish coursebooks prepared by the National Education Ministry were examined. In the study document review method was used. Totally 50 texts, 25 texts in the 7th grade and 25 texts in the 8th grade, were examined. The most text types included in the 7th and 8th grade respectively are story (% 18), essay (% 16), poem (%12), conversation (%10), article (%8), conference, travel writing, memoir, speeclı, biography, theatre, (% 4) legend, joke, epic, news, tale, novel (%2). There were 10 different types in the 25 texts in the 7th grade Turkish coursebooks; 15 different types in the 25 texts in the 8th grade Turkish coursebooks. In both grade coursebooks compulsory themes were included. As the 7th grade coursebook were in accordance totally with the program, the 8th grade coursebook contradict with the program in some points. It has been noticed that the rate of poems and novels in the 7th and 8th grade coursebooks were less than the other types
dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanmış 7 ve 8. sınıf Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki metinler incelenmiştir. Çalışmada doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 7. sınıftan 25,8. sınıftan 25 toplam 50 metin incelenmiştir. 7 ve 8. sınıf Türkçe ders kitaplarında en çok yer alan türler sırasıyla, hikâye (% 18), deneme (% 16), şiir (%12), söyleşi (%10), makale (%8), konferans, gezi yazısı, anı, söylev, biyografi, tiyatro, (% 4) efsane, fıkra, destan, haber, masal, roman (% 2) yer almıştır. 7.sınıf Türkçe ders kitabında 25 metin 10 farklı türde yer almış; 8.sınıf Türkçe ders kitabında ise 25 metin 15 farklı türde yer almıştır. Her iki sınıfta da zorunlu temalara yer verilmiştir. 7.sınıf kitabında Türkçe Programı’na tam olarak uyulurken 8.sınıf kitabında bazı noktalar program ile çelişmektedir. 7 ve 8. sınıf Türkçe kitaplarında şiir ve roman türlerinin oranının diğer türlere oranla daha az olduğu görülmüştür.
