Özet
Cumhuriyet ve demokrasi kavramları arasındaki ilişkiyi konu edinen çalışmamızda, demokrasinin tarihi gelişimi, demokrasi kavramı ve çoğunlukçu-çoğulcu demokrasi anlayışlarını takiben, cumhuriyet kavramı irdelenmektedir. Müteakiben, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ nin kuruluş felsefesi ele alınmakta ve doktrindeki farklı düşünceler ışığında cumhuriyet ve demokrasi kavramları arasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıklar ortaya konmak suretiyle çalışma sonlandırılmaktadır.
In our study, which focuses on the relationship between the concepts of Republic and democracy, the concept of Republic is examined following the historical development of democracy, the concept of democracy and the ideas of majoritarian-pluralistic democracy. After that, the establishment philosophy of the Republic of Turkey is discussed and the work is terminated by revealing the similarities and differences between the concepts of Republic and democracy in the light of different thoughts in the doctrine.
