Abstract
İnsan, doğadaki pek çok canlı türü gibi toplu yaşama kültürü sayesinde neslini devam ettirebilmiştir. İnsanlar birlikte yaşayarak, kendi aralarında yaptıkları iş bölümü sayesinde daha verimli ve gelişime açık bir sosyal çevre inşa etmiş ve bu sayede tarih boyunca önemli medeniyetler kurmuşlardır. Birlikte yaşamayı anlamlı kılan en önemli durum, topluluk içindeki kişilerin birbirlerinin farklılıklarını kabul ederek yaşamalarıdır. Bu farklılıkların da en önemlilerinden biri şüphesiz etnik farklılıklardır. Etnik farklılıklar, dünya tarihi boyunca birlikte yaşamanın önündeki en önemli engellerden bir olmuştur. Bununla birlikte, etnik farklılıklar; savaş, katliam ve soykırım gibi birçok şiddet olayına ya sebep olmuş ya da bunların bahanesi olarak gösterilmiştir.

By living together, people have built a more productive and open social environment thanks to the division of labor among themselves, and in this way, they have established important civilizations throughout history. The most important condition that makes living together meaningful is that people in the community live by accepting each other's differences. Ethnic differences have been one of the most important obstacles to living together throughout the history of the world. However, ethnic differences; It has either caused or been shown as an excuse for many violent incidents such as war, massacre and genocide.
