| dc.description.abstract | Factors influencing the transformation of societies also alter people's emotions, thoughts, relationships, and lifestyles. The development of new tools and techniques, geographical and climatic changes, religious beliefs, and wars contribute to this process of change. Throughout human history, there have been significant shifts in the ways emotions, thoughts, and meanings are produced; the most recent and profound change began with the Industrial Revolution and has continued with rapidly advancing technological developments. This process has led to the transformation of industrial society into a consumer society, and then into a society dominated by cyber networks.Contemporary societies are defined by concepts such as consumer society, spectacle society, individualized society, surveillance society, and transparency society. These definitions are used to conduct social analyses in the context of human relationships and individual meaning-making processes, evaluating the current situation from different perspectives. This study will examine these definitions of contemporary societies, focusing particularly on Byung-Chul Han's analysis of the "transparency society," and will address the issue of human freedom within this society. After discussing the conceptual debates on the problem of freedom, the concept of the transparency society will be explained, and the issue of freedom in this context will be evaluated | |
| dc.description.abstract | Toplumların değişiminde etkili olan faktörler, insanların duygu ve düşüncelerinin yanı sıra ilişki ve yaşam biçimlerini de değiştirmektedir. Yeni alet ve tekniklerin geliştirilmesi, coğrafi ve iklimsel değişiklikler, dinsel inançlar, savaşlar gibi etkenler bu değişim sürecine katkıda bulunmaktadır. İnsanlık tarihinde duygu, düşünce ve anlam üretme biçimlerinde belirli dönemlerde köklü değişiklikler yaşanmıştır; en son ve en köklü değişiklik ise endüstri devrimiyle başlamış, hızla ilerleyen teknolojik gelişmelerle devam etmiştir. Bu süreç, endüstri toplumundan tüketim toplumuna, oradan da siber ilişkiler ağının hakim olduğu topluma dönüşmesine yol açmıştır.Günümüz toplumları, tüketim toplumu, gösteri toplumu, bireyselleşmiş toplum, gözetim toplumu ve şeffaflık toplumu gibi kavramlarla tanımlanmaktadır. Bu tanımlamalar, insan ilişkileri ve bireysel anlam üretme süreçleri bağlamında toplumsal çözümlemeler yapmak için kullanılmaktadır ve mevcut durumu farklı bakış açılarından değerlendirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, günümüz toplumlarına dair yapılan tanımlamalar incelenecek ve özellikle Byung-Chul Han'ın "şeffaflık toplumu" çözümlemesi çerçevesinde, şeffaflık toplumunda insanın özgürlüğü meselesi ele alınacaktır. Özgürlük problemini kavramsal olarak tartıştıktan sonra, şeffaflık toplumu kavramı açıklanacak ve modern insanın bu toplumdaki özgürlük sorunu değerlendirilecektir. | |
