dc.description.abstractIn this work, effects of modernism, rejecting tradition and traditional things however advocating new and newness on women have been examined. First of all, the concept of modernism and the historical development of modernism are explained. At the same time, modernism and position of Eastern Societies have been analyzed in this work. At the end of this work, topic of women and effects of modernism on Turkish modernization and Turkish women have been revealed.As a result of the research, where women has a value in social and political life in  during Modernization it seems that women transformed to a target of consumption society and an advertisement and entertainment element and women’s status has altered in a negative way in social and political life, thus, the conclusion of that  is compulsory is done.
dc.description.abstractBu çalışma da geleneği ve geleneksel olanı reddeden; yeniliği ve yeniyi savunan modernizmin, modernleşme sürecinde kadına etkileri incelenmiştir. İlk olarak modernizm kavramı ve tarihsel gelişimi açıklanmıştır. Aynı zamanda bu çalışmada modernizm ve Doğu toplumların konumu analiz edilmiştir. Daha sonra modernizm ve kadın konusu; Türk modernleşmesi ve Türk kadınına etkisi göz önüne serilmiştir.Çalışmanın sonucunda, kadının toplum içerisinde ve siyasi hayatta bir değere sahip olduğu modernleşme ile birlikte kadının tüketim toplumunun hedefi olarak reklam yüzü ve eğlence aracı haline geldiği, bu gelişmenin toplum içerisinde ve siyasal hayatta kadına verilen statüsünün olumsuz yönde değiştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
