dc.description.abstractThe values education is one of the subjects on which the researchers and educators have recently been focusing. New education programs include values education. This has increased the interest of researchers in the field. Values education should not only be in theory but should be transferred to real life. Books can be used in education of values because of the exemplary experiences they offer to their readers. Fantastic literature is preferred by authors due to the popularity of the genre among the readers. Hikmet Temel Akarsu, who has has written children’s literature in the field of fantasy literature, uses fantastic literature in order to convey the values. In this study, the usability of Akarsu’s works of fantasy fiction in value education was investigated. In this research, descriptive analysis was used among qualitative research methods. As a result of the research, it is concluded that some works of Akarsu are appropriate for the values education. It has been determined that Hikmet Temel Akarsu makes frequent use of themes and virtues such as love of nature, cooperation, and honesty.
dc.description.abstractDeğerler eğitimi son dönemde araştırmacıların ve eğitimcilerin üzerinde dikkatle durduğu konuların başında gelmektedir. Yeni eğitim programlarında değerler eğitimine genişçe yer verilmesi de bu yöndeki araştırmaların artmasını sağlamıştır. Değerler eğitiminin sadece teoride kalmayıp uygulamaya yani gerçek hayata aktarılması gerekmektedir. Kitaplar okuyucularına örnek yaşantılar sunabilme gücüne sahiptirler. Dolayısıyla kitaplar değerler eğitiminde kullanılabilir bir konumda bulunmaktadır. Fantastik edebiyat okuyucu açısından ilgi çekici olmasından dolayı yazarlar tarafından tercih edilen bir tür olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Fantastik edebiyat alanında eserleri bulunan Hikmet Temel Akarsu, çocuğa yönelik eserlerinde değerleri aktarabilmek için fantastik ögeleri kullanmaktadır. Bu araştırmada onun çocuğa yönelik fantastik eserlerinin değerler eğitiminde kullanılabilirliği incelenmiştir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yazarın incelenen eserlerinin değerler eğitimine uygun olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Hikmet Temel Akarsu’nun özellikle çevre sevgisi, yardımlaşma, dürüstlük değerlerini eserlerinde sıklıkla kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir.
