İlkokulların haftalık ders çizelgesinin sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Son zamanlarda sıkça tartışılan konulardan biri de ilkokulların haftalık toplam ders saatleri ve bu derslerin çizelgede kaç saat yer aldığı konusudur. Özellikle ilkokullarda okutulan ders ve ders saatleri hakkında sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşü Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı [MEB] stratejik planında, Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu Başkanlığı [TTKB] kararlarında yer alan hedeflere ilkokullar açısından ulaşılıp ulaşılmadığının, ders çizelgesinin uygulanmasında başarılı olunup olunmadığının, varsa problemlerin tespiti açısından önemlidir. Ancak ilkokulların haftalık ders çizelgesinin uygulayıcıları olan sınıf öğretmenlerinin çizelgelerin işleyişi hakkındaki görüşlerini saptamaya yönelik yapılan bilimsel araştırmaların sayısı sınırlıdır. Bu araştırmada ilkokullarda görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerinin ilkokulların haftalık ders çizelgesi hakkındaki görüşlerinin betimlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu Kırıkkale ilindeki ilkokullarda görev yapan on yıl ve üzerinde kıdeme sahip öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunda bulunan öğretmenlerin ilkokulların haftalık ders saatleri hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından yarı yapılandırılmış olarak hazırlanan "Öğretmen Görüşme Formu" kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama nitel veri toplama araçlarından olan görüşme yoluyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmacı, öğretmen görüşmelerini gerekli randevular alındıktan sonra 2017-2018 öğretim yılının bahar döneminde gerçekleştirmiştir. 48 öğretmenle görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada görüşme sonuçlarından elde edilen verilerin çözümü ve yorumlanması aşamasında genellemelerden kaçınılmış ve "İçerik Analizi" yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmenleri ağırlıklı olarak, ilkokulların haftalık ders saatinin azaltılması; haftalık ders çizelgesinde yer alan derslerin ve o derslere ait haftalık ders saatlerinin de uyumlu olmadığı yönünde görüş bildirmişlerdir. One topic that has been frequently discussed recently is the total number of hours for primary schools per week and the number of hours these courses take place on weekly course schedule. The opinion of the classroom teachers about the courses and the course hours taught in the primary school is important to determine, whether the targets in the Ministry of National Education's (MoNE) strategic plan and in the decisions of the Board of Education [TTKB] are fulfilled in terms of primary schools, whether they are successful in the implementation of the weekly course schedule and determining the problems, if there is. However, the number of studies conducted to determine the views of primary school teachers, who are practitioners of the weekly course schedule of primary schools, is limited. In this study, it has been aimed to describe the opinions of primary school teachers about the weekly course schedule of primary schools. The screening model was used in this study. The working group consists of teachers who have ten years or more of seniority and work in primary schools in Kırıkkale. The "Teacher Interview Form", which was prepared by the researcher in semi-structured form, was used to determine the opinions of the teachers in the working group about the weekly course hours of primary schools. Data collection was conducted through interviews from qualitative data collection tools. The researcher conducted the teacher interviews in the spring semester of the 2017-2018 education year, after taking the necessary appointments. 48 teachers were interviewed. The analysis and interpretation of the data obtained from the interview results were avoided in the generalization and the "Content Analysis" approach was used. As a result of the research, primary school teachers mainly focused on reducing the total number of hours for primary schools per week and also they think that weekly course schedule and the weekly course hours of those courses are not compatible.
