Öğe Citizen Profile in Primary School Curriculum(Pamukkale Univ, 2014) Elkatmis, MetinTurkish Republic, which is the name of a big change and transformation project, aims to educate the citizens in line with the new targets. To adopt these specified new values in society, we need regular, continuous, consistent training. It can be possible with education and its curriculum. In general sense, education curriculums include a systematic plans about both inside and outside educational activities. The purpose of the study is to show how Turkish Republic has built a nation with democratic and active individuals with its primary school curriculums. In this direction the data were obtained from documentary reviewing. To sum up; in the early years of the Turkish Republic's nationalist and secular individuals; in the years of multi-party era democratic individual, and in the 1980s pragmatic individuals such to integrate the society were the profile of the citizens. After 2005 curriculums, the most obvious new goals are to train universal citizens of the world.Öğe SELF-EFFICACY BELIEFS OF STUDENTS WHO TAKE THE PEDAGOGIC TRAINING PROGRAM IN THE FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES AND STUDENTS IN THE EDUCATION FACULTY TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSION(Pegem Akad Yayincilik Egitim Danismanlik Hizmetleri Tic Ltd Sti, 2013) Elkatmis, Metin; Demirbas, Murat; Ertugrul, NurcanThe aim of this study is to compare self-efficacy beliefs of students who take the pedagogic training program in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and students from Education Faculty towards to teaching profession in terms of a variety of variables. A total of 338 teachers were included in the study held as part of the relational model of screening. The data collected with measurement tool which name is Teachers' Self Efficacy Scale, were analyzed using SPSS statistical software. As a result, it is derived that there is no statistically significant difference between the self-efficacy beliefs of students who take the pedagogic training program in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and students in the Education Faculty towards the teaching profession. In addition, teachers' self-efficacy perceptions of boys attending faculty of education were found to be higher than girls. However, the difference between reasons for choosing the teaching profession and day or night classes was not statistically significant. Moreover, it is identified that perceptions of self-efficacy pedagogic training students in the faculty of science do not differ as per gender and day or night classes.
