Öğe A Comparative Analysis of the Ranking Functions for the IVIFVs and A New Score Function(Gazi Univ, 2022) Kokoç, Melda; Ersöz, SüleymanThe ranking of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy values (IVIFVs) has an important role in real-life decision-making problems. Even though there are many approaches related to the ranking methods of the IVIFVs, some of them have some shortcomings. In this study, the disadvantages of the existing ranking functions of the IVIFVs are discussed. It is revealed that both the most popular ranking functions and their recently improved versions may lead to unacceptable results. Furthermore, in this article, a new score function is offered to cope with the shortcomings of the ranking functions. The importance and performance of this new score function are proven with the help of many examples. Also, the decision-making algorithm adapted by integrating the new function is presented to illustrate the applicability of the new score function in the decision-making problems.Öğe A comparison of the performance of entropy measures for interval- valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets(Yildiz Technical Univ, 2021) Kokoç, Melda; Ersöz, SüleymanEntropy measure is a significant tool to define unclear information. But, entropy measures for interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) cannot be easily understood intuitively. So, it is highly important to compare the existing measures to select a reliable entropy measure in studies. The purpose of this study is to compare the performance of different entropy measures developed for IVIFSs. The numerical examples are presented to show whether entropy measures for IVIFSs are effective in representing the fuzziness degree. In order to understand whether a variation of fuzziness degree of one or more elements of IVIFSs change the ranking results, selected IVIFSs are modified diversely.Öğe A Literature Review Of Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Methodologies(Wroclaw Univ Science & Technology, Fac Management, 2021) Kokoç, Melda; Ersöz, SüleymanMulti-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is one of the most popular problems handled by researchers in the literature. Since the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) theory generates as realistic as possible evaluation of linguistic expressions, researchers have been expanding traditional MCDM methods to the IVIF environment, especially in the last decade. This study provides a literature review of the relevant articles from several academic databases on applications of IVIF-MCDM methods. The review of 131 publications addresses specific research questions. To understand the research publication trend, this review offers a visual analysis that examines the studies from different perspectives, such as application areas, IVIF-MCDM methods, citations, most relevant journals, and validation methods. One of the most remarkable results of the literature review is that most publications in this field are published in SCIE indexed journals. Another noteworthy issue is that China is the country that produces the most articles in this field. In addition, English journals are mostly selected for the publication of articles. While it is seen that the investment selection problem is chosen mostly as the application area, the TOPSIS method is preferred mostly in the applications. This study stands out as the most comprehensive one that compiles publications containing extended traditional MCDM methods for IVIF sets. This review will be an important reference for future researchers and decision-makers involved in advancing MCDM methods considering vagueness and ambiguity.Öğe A model proposal for movie theater service performance index (MTSPI) calculation with structural equation modeling and application(Gazi Univ, 2024) Özek, Kübra İpek; Aktepe, Adnan; Ersöz, SüleymanIn this research, the objective is to create a performance index for movie theater services. In order to create the index, firstly the conceptual model for movie theater services was created. Secondly, physical evidence, social benefit, customer satisfaction and ambiance are determined as latent variables and verified with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The relationships among latent variables are determined using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). Then Entertainment Performance Index is developed and calculated by using weights and scores of latent variables for movie theater services. Entertainment Performance Index is used for determining the level of performance and for proposing suggestions for decreasing the level of service quality gaps in movie theater services sector. In addition, satisfaction levels for different customer groups are compared according to the frequency of benefiting from revenue management applications. The ambiance dimension, which is about feeling yourself in the script and feeling the emotions more intensely in the movie theater atmosphere, was developed in this study.Öğe A Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning Approach to the Dynamic Job Shop Scheduling Problem(Mdpi, 2023) İnal, Ali Fırat; Sel, Çağrı; Aktepe, Adnan; Türker, Ahmet Kürşad; Ersöz, SüleymanIn a production environment, scheduling decides job and machine allocations and the operation sequence. In a job shop production system, the wide variety of jobs, complex routes, and real-life events becomes challenging for scheduling activities. New, unexpected events disrupt the production schedule and require dynamic scheduling updates to the production schedule on an event-based basis. To solve the dynamic scheduling problem, we propose a multi-agent system with reinforcement learning aimed at the minimization of tardiness and flow time to improve the dynamic scheduling techniques. The performance of the proposed multi-agent system is compared with the first-in-first-out, shortest processing time, and earliest due date dispatching rules in terms of the minimization of tardy jobs, mean tardiness, maximum tardiness, mean earliness, maximum earliness, mean flow time, maximum flow time, work in process, and makespan. Five scenarios are generated with different arrival intervals of the jobs to the job shop production system. The results of the experiments, performed for the 3 x 3, 5 x 5, and 10 x 10 problem sizes, show that our multi-agent system overperforms compared to the dispatching rules as the workload of the job shop increases. Under a heavy workload, the proposed multi-agent system gives the best results for five performance criteria, which are the proportion of tardy jobs, mean tardiness, maximum tardiness, mean flow time, and maximum flow time.Öğe A Systematic Literature Review of the Predictive Maintenance from Transportation Systems Aspect(Mdpi, 2022) Ersöz, Olcay Özge; İnal, Ali Fırat; Aktepe, Adnan; Türker, Ahmet Kürşad; Ersöz, SüleymanWith the rapid progress of network technologies and sensors, monitoring the sensor data such as pressure, temperature, current, vibration and other electrical, mechanical and chemical variables has become much more significant. With the arrival of Big Data and artificial intelligence (AI), sophisticated solutions can be developed to prevent failures and predict the equipment's remaining useful life (RUL). These techniques allow for taking maintenance actions with haste and precision. Accordingly, this study provides a systematic literature review (SLR) of the predictive maintenance (PdM) techniques in transportation systems. The main focus of this study is the literature covering PdM in the motor vehicles' industry in the last 5 years. A total of 52 studies were included in the SLR and examined in detail within the scope of our research questions. We provided a summary on statistical, stochastic and AI approaches for PdM applications and their goals, methods, findings, challenges and opportunities. In addition, this study encourages future research by indicating the areas that have not yet been studied in the PdM literature.Öğe Ahilik ve 4C pazarlama ilişkisi: Tarihi perspektiften bakış(2011) Erbaşı, Ali; Ersöz, Süleymanİşletmelerin yaşadıkları yönetsel ve pazarlamaya ilişkin sorunların çözümüne yönelik müşteri yönelimli arayışlar son yıllarda önem kazanmıştır. Daha bilinçli ve seçici davranan müşteriler, işletmelerin stratejilerini de önemli ölçüde etkilemiştir. Böylece işletme stratejileri, müşteriye odaklı bir dönüşüme uğramıştır. Bu stratejilerden biri olan 4P pazarlama karmasının (ürünproduct, fiyat-price, dağıtım-place, tutundurma-promotion) müşteri yönelimli dönüşümü, 4C pazarlama karmasını (müşteri değeri-customer value, malın müşteriye maliyeti-cost to customer, müşteriye uygunluk-convenience for buyer, müşteri ile iletişim-customer communication) ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu çalışmadaki amaç, 20. yüzyılın sonlarında ortaya atılan 4C pazarlama karması unsurlarının, 13. yüzyıl ve sonrasında Ahilik felsefesinde kullanıldığını ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla 4C pazarlama karmasının her bir unsuru, Ahilik felsefesindeki kullanımlarıyla ilişkilendirilmiştir. Müşteri değeri unsurunun müşteri velinimetimizdir, malın müşteriye maliyeti unsurunun denetsel fiyat, müşteriye uygunluk unsurunun müşterinin ürüne kolay ulaşımı ve müşteri ile iletişim unsurunun pazarla etkileşim şeklinde Ahi teşkilatlarında kullanıldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu kapsamda Ahilik felsefesinin, daha derinlemesine analizler yapılması suretiyle günümüz işletmecilik sorunlarından önemli bir kısmına cevap verebilecek nitelikte olduğunu düşünmekteyiz.Öğe An Application on Analysis of Mask Production Factors with Clustering Approach(Kırıkkale Üniversitesi, 2023) Tebrizcik, Semra; Ersöz, Süleyman; Aktepe, AdnanWith the development of technology, large databases are becoming more accessible. Today, it is possible to use large databases in many fields. By using data kept in databases and data mining approaches, meaningful information and rules are discovered. Thus, information discoveries are made that will be useful for businesses. In this study, the production data of a factory producing surgical (medical) masks was used. Clustering analyzes of the variables that are effective in the production of faulty or error-free masks in the quality control stage were made with the Two Step method and the properties of the resulting clusters were compared. The most effective variables in cluster partitioning are; It has been observed that the amount of speed used in the creation of the mask body, the type of fabric of the middle layer of the mask body consisting of 3 layers, and the amount of ultrasonic heat used to create the pleats on the body. The information obtained to improve the performance of production activities will be used to improve the process.Öğe An Expert System Approach For High School Type Selection(Gazi Univ, 2011) Ersöz, Süleyman; Aktepe, AdnanAn expert system is a computer program that imitates the procedures by which experts solve problems. This paper describes an expert system application which provides advice to primary school students who are seeking assistance in determining high school type. The system gathers information about student grade point average (GPA), centralized exam score, personality type and socio-economic factors. It assesses student qualifications for seven different school types in Turkey. The expert system recommends a school type for the students and produces a short report explaining the reasons of recommendation. Student GPA and centralized exam score are considered as technical criteria. In addition, social and socio-economic factors such as personality type, parental involvement etc.affecting the decision process are also considered and included in the model.Öğe Arge Departmanında Süreç İyileştirme Yöntemlerinin Uygulanması(Kırıkkale Üniversitesi, 2021) Denizer, Bedriye; Ersöz, Süleyman; Bulut, KezbanElektronik Arge Birimi departmanında yaşanan problemlerin; müşteriye zamanında teslimat sağlayamamak, hatalı ürünleri müşteriye teslim etmek, yüksek maliyetli ürünler üretmek, birim üretim sürelerinde artış, müşteri kayıpları gibi sorunlara neden olacağı öngörülmüştür. Problemlerin çözülmesi firmanın Ar-Ge departmanını idame ettirmesi için önemlidir. Departmanın tüm sürecindeki problemler kapsamlı olarak incelenmelidir. Problemler, 5 faz altında değerlendirilecektir. Bu fazlar süreç, metot, insan , çevre, yönetim bazlı olarak şekillenmiştir. Problemler, DMAIC(tanımlama,ölçme,analiz,iyileştirme,kontrol) metodolojisi kullanılarak çözüme ulaştırılabilir. Bu metodolojide problemin tanımlanması, ölçülmesi, analiz edilmesi, geliştirilmesi ve kontrol edilmesi üzerine iyileştirmelerin yapılması amaçlanmaktadır. DMAIC metodolojisinde her faz için farklı yöntemler uygulanmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda; sorunların belirlenmesi, analiz edilmesi, ölçülmesi, iyileştirilmesi, kontrol edilmesi aşamasında Ar-Ge Departmanına uygulanması en optimal olacak 6 Sigma yöntemleri belirlenecektir. DMAIC’in her fazı için farklı 6 Sigma yöntemleri seçilecektir. Tanımlama fazı için; Sıpoc analizi, ölçüm fazı için; akış şemaları, analiz fazı için; kök neden analizi, iyileştirme fazı için; beyin fırtınası, kontrol fazı için; kontrol tabloları kullanılması planlanmaktadır. Yapılan iyileştirmeler sonrasında kontrol tabloları kullanılarak kıyaslama yapılıp, iyileştirmeler sınanacaktır.Ar-Ge departmanında yapılacak olan iyileştirmeler sonucunda; birim üretim süresinde azalma, müşteriye zamanında ürün teslim edilmesi, kalite kontrol süreçlerinde iyileşmeler, optimal maliyetlerde ürün üretilmesi, malzeme tedarik süresinde azalma, geri bildirim ve raporlama eksikliğinin giderilmesi hedeflenmektedir. At the same time, customer awareness is also increasing. As customer awareness increases, the quality of service provided should also increase. One of the ways that companies will apply in order to maintain their existence in this competitive environment and to prevent customer loss is to make the lean manufacturing philosophy a corporate culture. It is a production approach that does not contain any unnecessary elements in the lean manufacturing structure, minimizes waste and aims to increase efficiency in production. When moving to the lean manufacturing philosophy, it is of great importance for companies to draw a correct road map. This study was applied to the product/product group produced in a foundry. Value stream mapping (VSM), which is one of the lean manufacturing techniques for the determined product/product group, was made and the current situation value stream map was created. With value stream mapping, bottlenecks and losses in the process were determined and a future situation value stream map was created. Lean manufacturing techniques were applied at these determined points, problems were eliminated and productivity increase was achieved in production. Fuzzy logic was used to clearly determine the productivity increase. Fuzzy logic creates numerical models by imitating the human mind many vague, non-numerically expressed terms that we use daily. With fuzzy logic, the efficiency rate was modeled numerically and the contribution of the lean manufacturing techniques applied to productivity was determined. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.Öğe Closed Loop Supply Chain Management Performance Evaluation Criteria(2019) Yontar, Emel; Ersöz, SüleymanEvaluating chain performance to develop an effective supply chain has become a necessity because it plays a critical role in the success of businesses. The most important decision to evaluate the chain performance is the correct selection of indicators. The closed-loop supply chain method consists of a whole of forward and reverselogistics activities. For this reason, advanced supply chain management and reverse supply chain management performances are handled separately in this study. The performance evaluation criteria which are discussed by the authors who work on the supply chain management performance evaluation issues are analyzed and it is stated that the authors make a study by taking into consideration the evaluation criteria. At the same time, thearticles examined in reverse supply chain management performance evaluation studies are examined and all criteria are summarized as a table. In the light of these studies, the planned criteria for the use of closed loop supply chain management performanceevaluation of the enterprises have emerged. With the main criteria being divided into Economic, Social and Environmental headings, which are supposed to bring innovation to the literature, the sub-criteria are detailed. These titles were brought together both for the first time in closed loop supply chain management performance evaluation and as a main topic in advanced supply chain management. In this study, which is prepared by taking advantage of this point of view, application is presented that applies multicriteria decision-making methods to determine the most important product in terms of inventory management. In the process of determining the product in the most important according to criteria determined, AHP method which is frequently used in the literature is applied for calculation weights of criteria. Fuzzy entropy gives a measure of the uncertainty of the situation, which is considered the average amount of information lost when passing from a classical pattern to the fuzzy pattern. One of the areas where entropy is used is multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems. In some of the studies on MCDM problems, entropy is used to calculate weights of criteria or experts, or to rank alternatives. In this study, the compatibility of entropy measures developed for the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) environment with MCDM problems is investigated. As a result of the exemplary calculations and discussions, it is seen that that the entropy functions developed for ADSB clusters does not work effectively in MCDM problems due to its theoretical properties.Öğe Denetimsiz Öğrenme İle E-Ticaret Sektöründe Faaliyet Gösteren Bir İşletmede Müşteri Segment Analizi Ve Uygulaması(Kırıkkale Üniversitesi, 2024) Ganioğlu, Beyza; Aktepe, Adnan; Ersöz, Süleyman; Tebrizcik, SemraElektronik ticaretin yaygınlaşması ile birlikte e-ticaret firma sayısında artış olmuş ve rakipler arasında rekabet başlamıştır. İşletmelerin rakip firmalar karşısında başarılı olması açısından müşteri memnuniyetinin günümüzde önemli bir yeri vardır. Müşteri memnuniyeti, müşterilerin aldığı hizmet veya ürün karşısında olumlu geri bildirim sağlamasıdır. Müşterilerin firma memnuniyetini artırması adına müşterilerin beklentilerini doğru analiz ederek müşteri memnuniyetini ve bağlılığını üst düzeye çıkarmak mümkündür. Müşterileri sadık müşteri, kaybetmek üzere olunan müşteriler ve kaybedilen müşteriler olarak kümelere ayırmak mümkündür. Bu çalışmada müşteri profillerini doğru analiz edip sadık müşterilerin sadakatini artırmak, kaybetmek üzere olunan müşterilerin bağlılığını ve memnuniyetini artırmak, kaybedilen müşterileri ise geri kazanmak adına doğru stratejileri geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Makalede 28 soruluk anket çalışması 100 farklı müşteri üzerinde uygulanmış olup, müşteriler e-ticaret sektöründe Kendini Örgütleyen Haritalar (KO?H/SOM) yardımıyla müşteriler 4 kümeye ayrılmıştır. Kümelerin özellikleri belirlenerek her bir kümeye özel satış stratejileri geliştirilmiştir. At the same time, they expect production process to be completed with low cost and low loss. For this reason, the importance of mechanization and automation in production sector has increased. As a result, companies have begun to give more importance to robotic systems, which are the basic components of automation systems. Despite the likelihood of mistakes caused by physiological and mental states of humans, these systems can perform operations precisely without any variability. In this study, an application was carried out for the automation of welding process of industrial type boilers in different sizes and features. For products of which standard measurements or welding operations are difficult to perform manually, a robotic system was proposed in which measurement and welding operations can be performed automatically. In addition, operators are prevented from exposure to gas and light via the proposed system which enables a safer working condition.Öğe ERP Kurulum Sürecinin Tamamlanmasının Ardından Modelleme Çalışmalarına Geçiş(2019) Yontar, Emel; Ersöz, SüleymanSon yıllarda işletmelerin bilgi teknolojisi tabanlı sistemlere yönelimlerinde artış olduğu görülmektedir. Bu ilginin artmasında, bilgi sistemlerinin işletmelere sağladığı faydaların etkili olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda firmaların aradığı ve geniş bir modüle sahip olan bilgi sistemi Kurumsal Kaynak Planlama (Enterprise Resource Planning-ERP) sistemleridir. İşletmelerde, doğru bilgiye hızlı şekilde ulaşarak etkin bir bilgi akışını sağlayan ERP sistemleri kullanımları her geçen gün artmaktadır. ERP sistemleri, işletmelerde veri tabanı olarak kullanılıp entegre bir şekilde bilgi paylaşımlarını koordine eder ve farklı departmanlarda çalışanların bilgilere eş zamanlı ulaşmasını sağlar. Bu noktada ERP sisteminde yer alacak ve bölümler arası koordineyi sağlayacak, ürün kodlamaları ön plana çıkmaktadır. Kurulum aşamasının ardından sistem analizi ile birlikte firma içerisinde ürünleri özelleştirmek yapılması gereken en temel çalışmadır. Bu çalışmada ERP uygulamalarının kullanılması için tarım makine sanayinde yer alan bir firma seçilmiştir. Tarım makine sanayinde yer alan firmaların ürün çeşitliliğinin çok geniş olması, üretim yoğunluğunun mevsimsel ve stok oranlarının düzensiz olması, planlamada yaşanan aksaklıkların verimliliği düşürmesi sebebiyle bu sektör ele alınmıştır ve ürünlere dair karışıklığın giderilmesi, benzerliklerin ortadan kaldırılması istenmiştir. ERP sisteminin bu firmaya uyarlanması noktasında da en temel yapılması gereken çalışma sistem analizinin ardından ürünlerin ERP sistemine uyarlanarak, ürün kodlarının hazırlanması olmuştur. Hammadde, yarı mamul, mamul ve malzemeler karakteristik özellikleri bakımından incelenerek, ürünlere ait spesifik bilgilerin yer aldığı modellenme çalışması yapılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmalar tamamlanmış ve her ürün için proses kartları oluşturulmuştur. Bu çalışma ile tarım makine sanayi sektöründe yer alan ve ERP yazılımı kullanacak olan diğer firmalara ERP kodlama çalışmalarında örnek olunmak istenmiştir.Öğe Evaluation of Profession Predictions for Today and the Future with Machine Learning Methods: Emperical Evidence From Turkey(Gazi Univ, 2023) Karaahmetoglu, Ebru; Ersöz, Süleyman; Türker, Ahmet Kürşat; Ateş, Volkan; İnal, Ali FıratFor the purpose of evaluating present and future trends of professions within the labor market, text mining approach could be an alternative to more traditional approaches such as employer surveys. Specifically, machine learning algorithms are used for making accurate predictions about the future directions of the professions which consequently will influence professional development of labour force. The aim of this study is to investigate the professions of the future and current in Turkey by the application of supervised learning algorithms and clustering methods to various Turkish data including documents belonging to Turkey's institutions. In this study, the popular professions were predicted with an accuracy rate between congruent to 0.81 and congruent to 0.93 thorough various machine learning algorithms. It was discovered that methodologically perceptron and stochastic gradient descent algorithms demonstrated superiority over other algorithms thanks to their intelligence functions. Furthermore, the analysis of current professions in Turkey revealed that the class of Professional occupations, Managers and Technicians and assistant professional members were popular, and according to the analysis of the future, information technology-based occupations will be important. In order to maintain sustainability in thisfield, companies need to see areas where they can improve by performing performanceevaluation. For this purpose, in this study, it is aimed to determine the criteria to be usedin the performance evaluation of sustainable supply chain management. In this respect,firstly, the performance criteria of supply chain management and reverse supply chainmanagement studied in the literature are examined separately; these main criteria havebeen defined by taking into account economic, social and environmental factors. As aresult of the literature review, 46 sub-criteria are determined which are in line with themain economic, social and environmental criteria. It is planned to make priority rankingof these criteria and to use the criteria which are obtained at a high rate according totheir importance levels in performance evaluation. Representatives and academiciansfrom the sector are asked to score 46 performance evaluation criteria according to theirimportance level. With the findings obtained, it is aimed to determine the criteria of highimportance by performing Pareto Analysis. As a result of the studies carried out, nine newcriteria can be added to the literature and a total of 33 criteria have been determined forperformance evaluation. The criteria that companies can use for performance evaluationin the field of sustainable supply chain management are finalized and it is aimed to gainvalue for the sectors to improve themselves.
