Burhâneddîn-i Belhî, küçük yaşta ailesi ile birlikte Afganistan'ın Belh şehrinden göç ederek Osmanlı'nın son yüzyılında yaşamıştır. Şiiri ruhun gıdası sayan şair, bulunduğu her meclisi şiirleriyle şenlendirmiştir.
The majority of this work consists of rubai texts by Muhammed Burhâneddîn-i Belhî, an emigrant poet who emigrated from Afghan Turkistan during his childhood with his family and lived in Istanbul, Turkish translations of these rubaiyat and thematic works based on these rubaiyat. Burhâneddîn-i Belhî emigrated from the city of Belh in Afghanistan at a young age with his family and lived in the last age of the Ottoman Empire. Considering poetry the sustenance of the soul, the poet brightened up every gathering he took part in with his poems. Although the era had come to a different standpoint in terms of language and literary style, he continued the tradition of divan poetry in Turkish and produced the first examples of classical Persian poetry in the first half of the twentieth century. In our work, the textual publication of the Persian rubaiyat named Çehâr-bâg has been made and 1668 rubaiyat in the work have been translated to Turkish. Rubaiyat have been studied in terms of their subjects and the poet's emotions and his world of poetry have been examined by way of using these rubaiyat. These rubaiyat have been examined under the categories of "poet's sphere of humane emotions", "his sphere of ideas" and "his sphere of manawi emotions". "Longing for homeland" is prevalent in the poet's sphere of humane emotions, "love of Allah" is prevalent in his sphere of manawi emotions, and "the state of rind (???)" is prevalent in his sphere of thoughts. The poet, whose heart is filled with the love of Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt, gave wide berth to the arguments about dargah-madrasa and defended the unity in Islam which was what was needed in the world of Islam in the twentieth century.
