Eros ve Thanatos kavramlarının felsefe ve psikoloji açısından değerlendirilmesi

Özet
İnsan akılsal ve duygusal bir varlıktır. İnsanın duygu varlığı olması diğer insanlarla ilişkisini sağlamaktadır. Bu ilişkileri sağlayan duyguların başında, günlük hayatın içerisinde sürekli dilimizde olan ve bireyleri farklı şekillerde etkileyen aşk vardır. Tabi insanın evreni açıklamak için henüz akli yaklaşımları olmadan önce bu bildiğimiz bilmediğimiz dünyaları, varlık alemlerini açıklamak için kullandıkları bir yol elbette vardı. Biz bu logos öncesi döneme mitler sayesinde ışık tutabiliyoruz. İnsanın yaratıcıyı, doğayı, kendisini anlamak için neden ve nasıl sorularına cevap bulmak amacıyla ortaya atılan anlatılara mit denir. Mit kelimesi hikâye-söz- anlatı anlamına gelmekte olup, bu alanı inceleyen bilime mitoloji denmektedir. Yunan mitolojisinde aşkın tanrısal adlandırılması ise Eros olarak karşımıza gelmektedir. Filozoflar tarafında bu kavrama pek fazla önem verilmemiş gibi gözükse de filozof olmanın getirdiği gereklilik -insanın, evrenin içeresinde olana merak, sorgulama duygusu- bu kavramla ilgili düşünceler olduğunu göstermektedir. Platon bu kavramı ele alan filozoflardan birisidir. Gerek Antik Yunan kültürünün aşk yapısını gerekse aşka yüklenen anlamlarını Platon'un Şölen, Lysis ve Phaidros diyaloglarında görebiliriz. Şölen'de Platon: Sokrates, Aristophanes ve diğer kişilerin fikirleriyle aşk anlayışını dile getirirken, aşkın farklı tanım ve özelliklerini ortaya koyar. Aşk kavramı psikoloji bilimi içinde, Psikanalitik kuram kurucusu olan Sigmund Freud tarafından da ele alınmıştır. Sigmund Freud aşk için tanımını yaparken insanın iki temel iç güdü üzerine hareket etmesine bağlar. Ve bu iç güdülerden biri yaşam yani libido iç güdüsü diğeri ise ölüm yani saldırganlık iç güdüsüdür. Ve aşkı libido kavramı içerisin de ele alır. Bu çalışma da insanın var oluşunda belirli bir yer edinen ve insanın hayattaki diğer ilişiklerini de etkileyen aşka, Platon ve Freud'un nasıl yaklaştığı amaçlanmaktadır. Bu iki düşünürün fikirlerinden hareketle aşkın sosyal bilimler içerisindeki yeri tartışılacaktır Anahtar Kavramlar: Platon, Eros, Freud, Mitoloji, Aşk.
Humans are logical and emotional beings. Humans establish relations with others thanks to being emotional. Among these, the primary emotion is love that we talk about constantly in our daily life and affect individuals in different ways. Before human beings had rational approaches to explain the universe, there was an approach they used to explain these worlds, these realms of existence that we do not know. We enlighten this period before logos through myths. Myths are narratives suggested to find answers to the questions of why and how in order to understand the creator, nature and himself/herself. The word myth means story-speech-narrative and the science that studies this field is called mythology. In Greek mythology, the divine name for love is called Eros. Even though it seems that philosophers ignored this notion, the requirement of being a philosopher - one's curiosity about what is in the universe, one's sense of questioning - shows that there are thoughts related to this notion. Plato is one of the philosophers addressing this notion. We can see both the structure of love in Ancient Greek culture and the meanings attributed to love in Plato's dialogues The Symposion, Lysis and Phaedrus. In the Symposion, Plato presents different definitions and characteristics of love while expressing his understanding of love through the ideas of Socrates, Aristophanes and others. The notion of love was also discussed by Sigmund Freud, the founder of Psychoanalytic theory in psychology. While defining love, Sigmund Freud attributes it to the fact that humans act on two basic instincts. One of these instincts is life, the libido instinct, and the other is death, the aggression instinct. He addresses love within the notion of libido. This study aims to address how Plato and Freud approach love, which exists in human existence and affects other relationships in life. Love in social sciences will be discussed based on the ideas of these two philosophers. Key Words: Plato, Eros, Freud, Mythology, Love.
