"Completeness" (Entelechy), one of the basic concepts of epistemology, which emerged systematically with Plato since ancient times, is a mental limit assumed in acquiring knowledge. In our thesis, the epistemological process that started in the Ancient Ages, but especially with Aristotle, who conceptualized this limit, will be discussed, and the stages it went through in paralel with scientific developments will be examined. The emergence of classical physics after the causations that destroyed the perspective of the universe of the Ancient Ages and laying the ground work for Modern Philosophy, the theory of Relativity, which revealed the flaws in classical physics after a long process, and, most importantly, it's influences on Postmodern philosophy to get her with quantum physics, whichs hook it to the root, and finally, of course, Works of Umberto Eco will be discussed on the axis of "completeness". In addition, the effects of this whole process on the problem of "meaning" will also be examined. KeyWords: Completeness (Entelechy), Subject, Object, Openness, Umberto Eco
