Özet
Halife Abdullah el-Me'mun, Harun Reşid'in veliaht olarak atadığı kardeşi Muhammed Emin'e karşı mücadele vererek hilafeti ve Abbasî Devleti yönetimini ele geçirmiştir. Sonrasında devletin iç işlerine yönelerek karışıklıkları ortadan kaldırmış ve merkezi otoriteye karşı başlatılan isyanları bastırmıştır. Ayaklanmalara karşı kimi zaman askeri yöntemlere başvuran Abdullah Me'mun, kimi zaman da -Ali bin Musa'yı veliaht atamasında görüldüğü gibi- diplomatik yolları denemiştir. İlmi çalışmalara da önem veren Abdullah Me'mun'un bu çabaları, Abbasî merkezi otoritesini güçlendirmiştir.
The Caliph Abdullah al-Ma?mun fought against his brother Muhammed Amin who had been assigned as heir apparent by Harun Rashid and obtained the administration of the Abbasids State. Then, he started to concern with the internal affairs to finish all of the caos by stopping the revolts against to central authtority. Sometimes he applied military and sometimes diplomacy as we see in his practice of constitution of Ali bin Musa his successor. Also we see Ma?mun as the patron of scientific activities. Abdullah Ma?mun gave importance to develope science and tecnology to empower central authority of Abbasids.
