| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACTThere are some sad events that have been tried to be remembered and kept alive for centuries in parallel with the thoughts and beliefs of the society they came from. When these events are associated with a divine force, it finds its expression with some rituals and social, cultural and artistic activities that are traditionalized by the society. One of these sad events was Hussein and more than 70 people with him were martyred by Yazid's forces on October 10, 680.This event, which is shared on a certain level with the values belonging to the society around the understanding and beliefs coming from the common belief, has been shaped around an Islamic and literary pleasure with the social structure it is nourished by. It has become a subject on which dozens of works have been written in Turkish literature after Arabic and Persian literature by being processed with literary genres such as elegy, death of Hussein, sacrednesses. One of the works dealing with this event is Edhem's treatise called Vak'a-i Karbala. This work, which constitutes the content of our study, presents a historical document feature. In this study, which was written in prose, the treatise was analyzed in terms of style and content, and the translation of the work was given. | |
| dc.description.abstract | İçinden çıktığı toplumun düşünce ve inançlarına paralel olarak asırlar boyu hatırlanmaya ve yaşatılmaya gayret edilen kimi hazin olaylar vardır. Bu olaylar ilahî bir kuvvetle bağdaştırıldığında toplum tarafından gelenekselleşen birtakım ritüellerle sosyal, kültürel ve sanatsal faaliyetlerde ifadesini bulur. Bu hazin olaylardan biri Hz. Hüseyin ve beraberinde yer alan 70’i aşkın kişinin 10 Ekim 680 tarihinde Yezid’in kuvvetleri tarafından şehit edilmeleri hadisesidir. Ortak inanıştan gelen anlayış ve inanışlar etrafında topluma ait olan değerlerle belirli bir düzlemde paylaşılan bu hadise, beslendiği sosyal yapı ile İslamî ve edebî bir zevk etrafında şekillenmiştir. Kerbelâ hadisesi mersiye, maktel-i Hüseyin, Muharremiyeler gibi edebî türlerle işlenerek Arap ve Fars edebiyatının ardından Türk edebiyatında da üzerine onlarca eser tertip edilen bir konu hâline dönüşmüştür. Bu hadisenin ele alındığı eserlerden biri de Edhem’in Vak‘a-i Kerbelâ adlı risalesidir. Çalışmamızın esasını oluşturan bu eser, tarihî bir vesika özelliği arz etmektedir. Mensur olarak kaleme alınan bu çalışmada risalenin üslup ve muhteva yönünden incelemesi gerçekleştirilmiş ve eserin çevriyazısı verilmiştir. | |
