Türkiye’de İmam Hatip Okulları Hakkındaki Halkın Bilgi Düzeyi, Algı Seviyesi ve İlişkili Faktörler

Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, mevcut İmam Hatip okullarının eğitimi ve genel işleyişi hakkında halkın bilgi düzeyini ölçmek, düşüncelerini değerlendirmek ve ilişkili faktörleri ortaya koymaktır.Materyal ve Metot: Çalışmaya 13 yaş üstü gönüllü kişiler katıldı ve metropol şehri olan İstanbul’da yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile ve E-anket uygulaması ile farklı bölgelerden veriler elde edildi. Araştırmanın türü kesitsel olup altı ayda tamamlandı. Veri toplayan anketörler nasıl veri toplayacakları konusunda eğitim aldı. Anket soruları kaynaklardan edinilen bilgiler doğrultusunda beyin fırtınası yöntemi ile belirlendi.Bulgular: Çalışmaya toplam 1137 gönüllü kişi katıldı ve % 65.5’i erkek, yarıdan fazlası 18-29 yaş grubunda, yarıdan fazlası Marmara, İç Anadolu veya Akdeniz kültürü ile yetişmiş, yaklaşık yarısı üniversite mezunu, toplam % 6’sı ise ortaokul veya daha düşük düzeyde eğitimli kişilerdi. Katılımcıların yaklaşık % 80’inin İHL’ler hakkında genel bilgi sahibi olduğunu, yaklaşık yarısının İHL’de okutulan dersler hakkında bilgisinin olmadığını, % 84’ünün bu okullarda fen bilimleri derslerinin bulunduğunu bildikleri ve % 43’ünün mezunlar hakkında toplumun ortalama kültür seviyesindedir açıklamasını yaptığı belirlendi. Bilgi kaynağı olarak, % 29’u medyayı, % 51’i ise birebir iletişimi beyan etmiştir. Halkın algı seviyeleri değerlendirildiğinde, % 56’sı öğrencilerin milli ve manevi değerlere sahip olduğunu, % 68’i topluma uyumlu kişiler olduğunu, % 69’u öğrencilerin gelenek/göreneklere bağlı olduğunu ve % 36’sı İHL öğrencilerini genel olarak olumlu olarak değerlendirdiklerini açıklamıştır. Ayrıca bu soruların sosyo-demografik özelliklerle ilişkileri incelendiğinde sonuçların değişkenlik gösterdiği görülmüştür.Sonuç: Ülkemizde, günümüz teknolojisi ve bilgi düzeyinde eğitim veren çok sayıda imam hatip okulu mevcuttur. Özellikle başarılı sınıflamasına dâhil olan imam hatip okullarında eğitim gören öğrencilerin her yönden dikkat çekici olumlu özelliklere sahip olduğunu görmek, gelecekte bu okullara olan ilgiyi daha da artıracaktır. Bu çalışma neticesinde, İHL’ler hakkında mevcut olan toplum algısı ile bilgi düzeyi arasında pozitif ilişki olduğu ve özellikle kadınlar ve 18-29 yaş aralığındaki kişilerin bu konuda daha fazla bilgilendirilmesi gerektiği kanaatine varılmıştır. Ayrıca başarılı İHL okullarının bilinirlik/tanınırlık oranı, ağırlıklı bulundukları bölgede yapılan bir araştırma olmasına rağmen % 30’lar civarındadır. Bu nedenle başarılı imam hatip okullarının eğitim içerikleri ve mezunlarının daha geniş kitlelere tanıtılması olumlu algıyı daha da çok etkileyecektir.
Objective: The aim of this study is to measurethe knowledge level of the people about the education and general functioningof the existing Imam-Hatip schools, to evaluate their thoughts and to identifythe related factors.Materials and Methods: Volunteersaged over 13 years participated in the study, and data from different regionswere obtained by face-to-face interview and e-survey methodologies themetropolitan city. The type of the research was cross-sectional, and it wascompleted in six months. Pollsters received training on how to collect data.Questions in the survey were determined by brainstorming method according tothe information obtained from the sources.Results: A total of 1137 volunteersparticipated in the study and 65.5% were male, more than half were in the agegroup of 18-29, more than half were educated with Marmara, Central Anatolia orMediterranean culture, and about half of them were university graduates, and 6%of them were literate. About 80% of the participants have general knowledgeabout IHLs, about half of them do not know about the courses taught in IHL, 84%of them know that they have science courses in these schools. As source ofinformation about these schools, 29% of them reported media and 51% reportedface to face communication. When the perception levels of the people areevaluated, 56% of the students stated that they have national and spiritualvalues, 68% of them are people who are compatible with the society, 69% of themdepend on traditions, and 36% of them think that they consider IHL's studentsas positive in general. Inaddition, the relation between the socio-demographic characteristics and theanswers were examined and the results were found that variable.Conclusion: There are many Imam-Hatip schools inour country that provide education in today's technology and knowledge level.In particular, seeing that the students educated in the Imam Hatip schools,which are included in the successful classification, have remarkable positivefeatures in all respects, will increase the interest in these schools in thefuture. As a result of this study, it is concluded that there is a positiverelationship between the perception of society and the level of knowledge aboutIHL. In addition, among women, and people aged 18-29 should be informed moreabout IHL. The awareness / recognition rate of the successful IHL schools isaround 30%, despite the fact that it is a research conducted in the regionwhere they are predominant. For this reason, the educational contents of thesuccessful Imam-Hatip schools and the introduction of their graduates to awider audience will affect the positive perception even more.
